Hello everyone!

I'm Jjong, a big fan of pop-up stores and exhibitions~

In this sweltering summer, isn't it true that a chilling horror experience provides an instant cool-down?

A must-do for couples ~ a horror experience!

Like the previous Conjuring Universe exhibition, this time I'm introducing the Joseon Yokai Exhibition!

The 600-year seal is broken. Joseon Yokai Exhibition: Ghost Gate

Exhibition Period: September 6th, 2025 (Sat) ~ November 2nd, 2025 (Sun)

Location: Lezhone Hongdae, 22-7, Yanghwa-ro 23-gil, Mapo-gu

Operating Hours: Weekdays: 12:00 ~ 20:00 (Last admission: 19:20)

Weekends & Holidays: 11:00 ~ 21:00 (Last admission: 20:20)

Admission: Adults: ₩25,000 / Teenagers: ₩19,000 (Early bird tickets currently available)

With the recent popularity of K-Pop Demon Hunters,

the National Museum of Korea is also attracting huge crowds.

Perhaps this Joseon Yokai Exhibition will be just as popular...^^?

A realistic horror experience based on Korean yokai (monster) folklore.

'Joseon Yokai Exhibition'

is waiting for you now.

In the 2nd year of King Sejong's reign,

the King built a detached palace west of the capital,

called Seoigung (西離宮).

However, after the palace was built,

all sorts of monsters appeared when darkness fell,

causing suffering to the people.

...

Taoists and shamans

sealed them in a sacred site to the south,

South Yeonnam-dong, south of Seoigung, which would later be called Yeonhui Palace,

is that very place.

...

西 (Seo): West / 離 (Lee): Departure / 宮 (Gung): Palace

A house for those who departed to the west.

Hmm... Was it a space for those who left this world...?

So scary~!

VIEW POINT

First Sealing Site: Two Cries

Chapter 1: Mother and Son

환상적인 장면

At the first sealing site,

you must soothe and seal the monster with a severed body, 'Shingi Wonyo',

and the baby monster who starved to death, 'Saetani'.

Second Sealing Site: Eternity

Chapter 1: Reclaim the Light

환상적인 장면

At the second sealing site,

you must seal the crazed serial killer, 'Jihaguk Daejeok',

and 'Eodukshini', who feeds on fear,

and escape!

This experience exhibition consists of a total of 6 spaces.

1. Two Cries (Shingi Wonyo / Saetani)

2. Eternity (Jihaguk Daejeok / Eodukshini)

3. Honeymoon Room (Changgui / Susalgui)

4. Another World (Gumiho / Dueokshini)

5. Exhibition Space / Goods Shop (Re-entry not allowed after exit)

6 Cafe (Outside the exhibition hall)

Wow.. I'm looking up each one of these...

Mystic Apartment (?)

I think I should preview this before going.. lol

I've only been briefly introduced to Chapters 1 and 2,

but there are still remaining yokai left..

It's so scary~!

There are precautions for safe viewing.

Be sure to check them,

and remember to follow the staff's instructions upon arrival.

That's basic, right? ^^

You can spend a day with a horror experience in the hot summer~^^

The Conjuring Universe and

the Joseon Yokai Exhibition...

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
