The Beauty of Bangokji in July
Every season showcases a different charm at Bangokji, and I've captured its July scenery.
Bangokji is an agricultural reservoir located in Bangok-ri, Namsan-myeon, Gyeongsan-si, North Gyeongsang Province.
This reservoir, created about 300 years ago, features a stunning row of willow trees lining the embankment, making it a popular spot for tourists.
The majestic willow trees, which have withstood the test of time, create a unique sight as they bend towards the water's surface, casting their branches over the lake.
Recognized as a great green spot for photography, the scenery in July is particularly vibrant, resembling a watercolor painting.
Let's take a stroll through the beautiful landscapes of Bangokji, which often appears as a filming location for dramas.
The grandeur of the trees is breathtaking. Walking along the shaded path created by the willows can lead to a light sweat, but the breeze from the reservoir cools you down, leaving you feeling refreshed.
Early mornings or evenings are ideal for walking. In the morning, fewer people allow you to enjoy the sounds of nature, and the sight of mist rising from the water is enchanting. After 5 PM, you can witness a stunning sunset that enhances the reservoir's mystical charm.
I visited around 3 PM and was able to see the shimmering reflections on the water.
As a popular destination, many people take photos, but leaning against or climbing the trees is prohibited to protect nature.
The parking lot is not very large, but there is usually enough space on weekdays, and parking is free for everyone to use.
Walking in the summer is great for your health, but it's essential to stay hydrated. Bring water, a hat or umbrella for shade, and sunglasses to protect your eyes.
