Hello! This is the Ulsan City Blog Reporter Team.

As summer arrives, parents often wonder where to take their kids for water play. Fortunately, you don't have to travel far; Ulsan has some great spots in the city for a refreshing splash.

One of these places is the water playground at Ulsan River Park and Ant Park.

Ulsan River Park Water Playground

Operating Period: June 20, 2026 - August 16, 2026 (Closed every Monday)

Operating Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (45 minutes of operation, followed by a 15-minute break)

Admission Fee: Free

Since I expected it to be crowded during the summer, I decided to arrive early to beat the rush. I found parking easily near the playground, which was a pleasant surprise.

To my astonishment, I was the first one there! I was curious about the water features, so I decided to try getting splashed myself. The water was pleasantly warm, so it wasn't too shocking, especially with my hat on to shield my face.

There were changing rooms available, making it convenient to change after playing in the water.

If you have long hair, make sure to tie it up! I had my hair tied back, but the staff advised me to wrap it up to prevent hair from falling into the water. Initially, I thought it was unnecessary, but I appreciated their attention to detail in maintaining water quality.

My reason for visiting water playgrounds is to help my child overcome any fear of water. We practice getting comfortable by splashing water on each other.

At first, my child was scared of the water features, especially the sudden sprays. However, after watching other kids have fun, my child gradually began to warm up to the idea.

For those who are apprehensive, there are gentler areas like the splash pad where kids can enjoy water play without feeling overwhelmed.

As the afternoon approached, more families started to arrive. If you're visiting with young children, I recommend going in the morning to avoid the crowds.

It’s wonderful to know that you can enjoy water play with your kids right in the heart of Ulsan. Watching my child adapt to the water while having fun was a rewarding experience.

After a fun-filled day, I felt the cool breeze and realized summer is already slipping away. Time truly flies!

If you're planning a water play day with your child, I highly recommend visiting the free water playground at Ulsan River Park before autumn arrives.

Ant Park Water Playground

Operating Period: June 20, 2026 - July 19, 2026 / August 22, 2026 - August 30, 2026 (Weekends only)

Operating Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Closed for lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM)

Admission Fee: Free

Upon arriving at Ant Park, the first thing that caught my eye was the splash pad. The water play area is separate from the playground, allowing kids to enjoy both without disturbing each other.

It’s also nice that when kids tire of the water, they can easily switch to the playground next door.

One important note is that food is not allowed in the splash pad area. It’s a good idea to plan snacks for after water play.

Overall, visiting local parks for water play has been a delightful experience this summer. You can enjoy water fun, ride slides, and dry off all in one day!

Make some cool summer memories with your kids at Ulsan's parks!
