After a long time, I was looking for a place to eat with an old acquaintance in Sanbon and decided to visit the Rooftop Restaurant.

My daughter recommended a place for me to enjoy a meal and catch up with a friend.

I usually prefer places where I can comfortably chat while eating, and on this day, I enjoyed a leisurely meal with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time, catching up on everything we had missed.

Atmosphere of the Restaurant

To the right of the entrance, there are clothes and a dartboard, creating a fun space for friends to enjoy together.

The space was uniquely arranged, and since we planned to chat for a long time, we chose a spot against the wall.

There was also an Instagram event announcement on our table.

The small sign about the restaurant had a very cute character.

When you meet after a long time, there's so much to talk about, and time flies quickly.

So, we decided to order several dishes to share.

We ordered eggplant rice, shakshuka, fig tofu salad, and a highball, which pairs well with meals.

As for the side dishes, we received radish and cucumber pickles.

The eggplant rice was a delightful dish with tender eggplant that blended well with the rice.

The eggplant was moist and soft, making it easy to eat with rice, and the seasoning complemented the rice perfectly, making it a great meal.

If you like eggplant, this dish will especially satisfy you.

You can eat it by taking a bit of seasoning, eggplant, and rice separately, so it's important to balance the seasoning well.

I didn’t balance it well, so I ended up mixing the shakshuka seasoning.

The highball was refreshingly good.

I had rice while my friend enjoyed two highballs.

Having a light drink while chatting with an old acquaintance made the dining atmosphere even more comfortable.

It was a perfect combination for a day when I wanted to enjoy delicious food rather than drink heavily.

Shakshuka, with its rich tomato sauce and soft eggs, was warm and flavorful.

It paired well with the other dishes, and I thought it would be great to share when visiting with a group.

The taste was mild yet subtly addictive.

The fig tofu salad was a unique dish among our orders.

The soft tofu combined with the subtle sweetness of figs created a surprisingly harmonious flavor.

It was a different experience from typical meal options, making it great to enjoy in between other dishes, with a refreshing and light taste.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t take a photo because I dove into the food as soon as it arrived.

Above all, it was wonderful to sit down comfortably and talk with an old friend after such a long time.

In our busy lives, it’s not easy to find time to meet even those close to us, but sharing delicious food and catching up made time fly.

The variety of dishes, from hearty options like eggplant rice to shareable plates like shakshuka and fig tofu salad, was great, and pairing it with a highball made it enjoyable to have a meal and drink together.

Overall, if you're looking for a place in Sanbon to meet friends and enjoy delicious food while chatting comfortably, Rooftop Restaurant could be a nice choice.
