Successful Launch of the 4th Korean Space Launch Vehicle (Nuri)!

A moment of South Korea's leap into space, illuminating the dawn in Goheung.
At 1 AM on November 27, 2025,
the fourth Korean Space Launch Vehicle, Nuri, was successfully launched from the Naro Space Center in Goheung-gun.
This launch not only reaffirmed Nuri's technological reliability but also marked a significant turning point for the South Korean space industry, propelling it to a new stage.
Nuri was launched at 01:13:00 today, and according to the initial analysis of telemetry data containing the launch vehicle's flight information by KARI, Nuri successfully separated and placed the Next-generation Mid-size Satellite 3 and 12 CubeSats into the target orbit (600km).
- All flight processes proceeded normally according to the predetermined flight sequence after Nuri's launch!
- Furthermore, the combustion of Nuri's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stage engines and the fairing separation were all successfully executed, leading to the successful separation of the Next-generation Mid-size Satellite 3 and the 12 CubeSats搭載 on Nuri!
Goheung is leaping forward as a center of the South Korean space industry.
Goheung-gun is fostering a national space launch vehicle industrial complex worth approximately 380 billion KRW and has signed occupancy agreements with 11 companies, including Hanwha Aerospace, solidifying its industrial foundation.
The success of Nuri's fourth launch demonstrates not only the advancement of launch vehicle technology but also Goheung's growth as a hub for the South Korean space industry.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all participating institutions and individuals for their dedication and efforts.
The full-fledged opening of the 'New Space Era' led by the private sector.
Following the successful second and third launches of Nuri, the continuous success of today's fourth launch has not only enhanced Nuri's reliability but also reaffirmed that South Korea has secured independent space transportation capabilities and possesses independent national space development capabilities.
Furthermore, the fact that the launch was jointly prepared by the public and private sectors, with the system integration company (Hanwha Aerospace) overseeing the production and assembly of the launch vehicle and participating in the launch operations led by KARI, holds great significance!
Goheung-gun plans to continue expanding its infrastructure and attracting businesses to pioneer the future of the South Korean space industry.
We will continue to play an even greater role as an outpost of the space industry and contribute to the growth of the region and the development of national science and technology!
