Spring Flower Attractions in Jeonju: Free Admission

On April 19, 2026, at 2 PM, I visited the Jeonju Arboretum. Being a Sunday with beautiful weather, there were many cars and visitors. Although there is a parking lot within the arboretum, it may feel a bit cramped on busy days, so I recommend arriving with some extra time.
The entrance is directly across from the parking lot, and as soon as you enter, you'll encounter a pavilion harmoniously integrated with nature. The dense trees provide shade, creating a pleasant space to enjoy even on warm days.
A comprehensive map is available at the entrance. Since the Jeonju Arboretum is quite expansive, I suggest checking or taking a photo of the map if you want to explore various areas.
As you walk past the map, you'll come across the 'Rose Garden.' Although the roses had not yet bloomed, the flower buds were forming, promising a beautiful display in May.
Last May, this area was filled with roses, and even now, the buds peeking through the vines hint at the stunning rose scenery to come. As spring deepens, we can expect even more vibrant scenes.
Surrounding the Rose Garden are beautiful yellow flowers blooming alongside a plant called 'Emmanuel,' providing another delightful sight.
The view of the arboretum from above shows a spacious and relaxed atmosphere. Particularly in May, this area is expected to be adorned with roses of various colors, making it an even more anticipated spot.
Throughout the arboretum, various spring flowers are blooming, allowing you to feel the seasonal changes during your walk.
The tulips are already in full bloom, with the yellow tulips standing out impressively. It was an excellent photo spot.
Deeper inside, there's a small pond and a café area where you can enjoy drinks leisurely amidst nature.
The magnolias had passed their peak, with petals starting to fall, yet their subtle colors remained beautiful and eye-catching.
Red azaleas were also spotted, adding vibrant colors to the spring landscape.
Chickweed and Leucojum flowers were blooming in various spots, providing the joy of observing diverse plants.
Daffodils were also beautifully blooming, enhancing the charm of this spring flower destination.
It's impressive to see Blue Wedgwood and other rare plants, allowing close encounters with species that are not easily found elsewhere.
The fern garden is a unique space where you can experience plants that are not commonly seen in daily life.
Following the walking path, you'll reach the 'Bamboo Grove,' home to about 52 species of bamboo. In spring, you can also observe the emerging bamboo shoots, making it an interesting area.
As you move towards the exit, you'll encounter a fully bloomed Paulownia tree. Its large branches adorned with white flowers create a stunning spectacle, making it a popular photo spot where many visitors line up to take pictures.
The clove tree and daffodils were also beautifully blooming, creating a picturesque scene that naturally made you stop and admire.
There are impressive sections where hydrangeas and other flowers blend harmoniously, showcasing nature's colorful palette.
Next to the glass greenhouse, a small garden is filled with blooming flowers, allowing you to experience the natural colors and fragrances up close.
Inside the greenhouse, succulents and cacti are on display, allowing you to observe plants from a different theme.
Some cacti were also showing flowers. Although not fully bloomed, the buds looked ready to burst, contrasting beautifully with the yellow flowers.
Exiting the greenhouse and walking straight will lead you to the aquatic plant garden, designed with stone bridges, where many visitors stop to take photos. A pavilion in the center offers a great spot to relax while gazing at the water.
Finally, the Jeonju Arboretum features a representative photo spot. The hanok-style structure combined with wooden decking provides a picturesque frame for photos against the natural backdrop.
The Jeonju Arboretum by Korea Expressway Corporation is a space where you can enjoy blooming flowers and various photo spots. As of April, some flowers are in bloom, but in May, a variety of flowers, including roses, will be in full bloom, offering a more vibrant landscape.
Especially in the Rose Garden, you can enjoy the gentle fragrance of roses wafting from the entrance, making it an even more recommended spring outing destination. If you're looking to spend a leisurely time in nature in Jeonju, consider visiting the Jeonju Arboretum.
