With the warm spring breeze

As flowers bloom in various parts of the city,

Our hearts inevitably turn towards the outdoors.

In line with the blooming flowers,

Various festivals are taking place across Gyeonggi Province,

Especially in Bucheon City, where spring flower festivals featuring azaleas, cherry blossoms, tulips, and roses are held from March to May.

I visited the site of the 'Bucheon Festa - Spring' to mark its beginning.

Additionally, I captured scenes from the upcoming 'Wonmi Mountain Azalea Festival' scheduled for April 4.

Bucheon Festa - Spring is an integrated event that brings together Bucheon's spring festival activities. It runs from March 28 to April 5 at the Bucheon Sports Complex.

This event combines flower viewing in Azalea Hill with various cultural activities such as flea markets, food pop-ups, and busking, creating an engaging urban festival.

On the first day of the event, many citizens visited the Bucheon Sports Complex from early morning under clear skies.

As they approached the venue, flower buds peeking out excited the visitors.

While parking is available at the sports complex, space may be limited, so public transportation is recommended, including the subway and buses.

At the entrance, food trucks offering pizza, hot dogs, and chicken skewers welcomed the citizens.

Additionally, booths featuring products from excellent local small businesses and handcrafted items by local artists added to the enjoyment.

One particularly impressive aspect was the 'Clean Zone' operating within the festival area, where waste separation was actively practiced despite the large crowds.

Visitors are encouraged to participate in waste separation for food waste, general trash, and plastics to create a pleasant festival environment.

There were also plenty of experiential programs for families, including caricature drawing and scratch postcard making, ensuring fun for both kids and parents.

Passing through the experience zone leads directly to the Azalea Hill next to the Bucheon Sports Complex.

As of my visit on March 28, the festival was just a week away, and while the flowers were not yet fully bloomed, many buds were starting to open, gradually painting the hill in shades of pink.

Among the azaleas, yellow forsythias added to the spring ambiance.

Even before reaching full bloom, seeing the flowers beginning to blossom in the warm temperatures heightened the anticipation for the vibrant scenery to come.

The 26th Wonmi Mountain Azalea Festival will take place over two days from April 4 to 5, featuring performances from invited artists, busking, a senior fashion show, cheerleading, and various stage events.

Bucheon City will host various flower festivals until May.

By checking the festival schedule below, visitors can fully experience the vitality of spring blooming in the city.

Bucheon City Spring Flower Festival Schedule:

Wonmi Mountain Azalea Festival: April 4 - April 5 / Bucheon Sports Complex

Dodang Mountain Cherry Blossom Festival: April 11 - April 12 / Dodang Mountain Cherry Blossom Park

Natural Ecology Park Spring Flower Exhibition: April 7 - May 10 / Bucheon Natural Ecology Park

Bucheon Million Roses Blooming Week: May 23 - June 7 / Dodang Park Million Roses Garden

After a long winter, spring has arrived.
