Red Button Board Game Cafe: Fun and Games in Gwangjang Koa, Daegu

Looking for something fun to do in Gwangjang Koa, Daegu? Check out Red Button Board Game Cafe!
You can't miss the Red Button Board Game Cafe sign; it's prominently displayed at the main intersection of Gwangjang Koa.
The bright red color is hard to miss! While Dongseongro has many different brands, this is the only one in Gwanko, so it's your only choice here!
It's located on the 2nd floor. Note that there is no smoking room, so you'll have to go downstairs to smoke.
1. Location
Open Daily: 13:00 ~ 01:00
Friday & Saturday: Closes at 02:00
2. Inside
Considering the amount of foot traffic in Gwangjang Koa, Red Button's space is relatively large.
There are restrooms inside, and they have all the essential board games.
The larger the size, the more diverse the types of games they have. There were plenty of games to play even when visiting with just two people.
It's a great place to go for a real-life game after a meal instead of a PC cafe.
There are separate areas where you can use the space with your shoes on or take them off before entering.

This is the basic size for two people. Pretty big, right?
3. Menu
You can order from the menu using the tablet in each room.
You'll be notified when your order is ready, and you'll have to pick it up yourself.
Like PC cafes, the fun isn't just limited to drinks anymore. There are many delicious dishes like in a restaurant, so it's a win-win to have a meal and play games at the same time.
Each Red Button location in Daegu has its own unique characteristics.
When I come to Gwanko three times, I visit Red Button once. Strawberry is my favorite menu item.

If you leave a receipt review when ordering, you can get 1 hour of free time, so you should definitely do it!
4. Review
The sweet and savory combination of the french fries I ordered was great, and as someone who loves strawberries, I loved it too.
I recommend this combination because these two go well together.
Yahtzee Dice is a good game to play with two people. Actually, it's a good game even with four people.
You roll the dice multiple times and the person with the highest total wins. Luck is important, so it's not purely based on skill.
Keep eating while playing the game. For games with a lot of penalties, it's good to hit them with a toy hammer.
Red Button's tablet also has recommended games, but there are also intuitive signs you can look at.

Take what you need from the center. Sometimes, games that require paper and pen are also available in the center.
I usually only played Splendor as a two-player battle, but I also played the basic two-player version.
It ends faster than playing with four people, and the victory is decided by a narrow margin, making it even more exciting.
Next up is Lost Cities. This is also a strategic game.

Similar to Splendor, the key is to figure out which type of stack to build in order to win.
I got hooked on going to board game cafes while looking for fun things to do in Daegu's Gwangjang Koa, and I have fun every time I go.
Instead of just going to karaoke or PC cafes, I think this is a good unique course where you can play various fun games.
It saves a lot more money than going to a bar for a second round, so it's great.
