Hello everyone!
Today, I'm excited to introduce Red Button Board Game Cafe in Yeongdeungpo, a great place for indoor fun!
When you're tired of the heat and looking for something other than cafes and restaurants, this board game cafe is the perfect indoor activity in Yeongdeungpo.
I visited on a weekday afternoon, and it was already quite busy.
Upon entering, you can place your order at the counter.
Here's the pricing for Red Button:
₩3,000 per hour
(₩2,000 for teenagers)
Red Button also has a family rate.
One child under 10 years old is free, making it a great option for families.
You can also get a ₩1,000 discount for a photo review!
Am I the only one who gets excited just looking at the games? Hehe.
There were so many games, filling most of the lobby!
The board games are divided into sections in Korean alphabetical order, making them easy to find.
Besides board games, they also had mystery games.
You can request these games at the counter.
Red Button Yeongdeungpo has a whopping 30 murder mystery & deduction games!
It feels like every game in the world is here.
Waiting registration is also available, so if there's a wait, you can spend time elsewhere and come back later!
There's a small game in front of the counter.
Perfect for playing while waiting for your order or while wandering around!
There was a game accessory bar on one side of the counter.
Sometimes you need accessories like notebooks or chips while playing games.
You can take them from here! ^0^
Make sure to return the games to the counter when you're done playing!
The interior seemed to have three types of rooms:
Regular Rooms
Regular rooms also varied in size to accommodate different numbers of people.
Group Rooms
This one was completely closed off, probably for clubs or groups only.
Attic Rooms
Yeongdeungpo has attic rooms, which is unique.
I've been to Red Button several times, but this was my first time seeing attic rooms!
This is what the attic looks like.
Very cozy, right?
The attic was cozy and the ceiling height was good so it didn't feel cramped when playing games.
Please note that there is a restroom inside.
Each room has a tablet.
It was convenient because I could order various menu items through the tablet without having to go to the counter!
Since I was in the 2nd-floor attic room, going down and up was a bit of a hassle haha.
They uniquely have penalty menus lol.
Isn't that so fun?
The loser has to eat Icy Soda haha.
Perfect for fueling your competitive spirit.
When you order, an "Order being prepared" icon appears.
When the menu is ready, they will notify you via tablet!
One of the best things about Red Button is that the games are well-categorized and explained.
I could search for games of my desired level and watch video explanations, so I could easily enjoy even games I've never seen before.
First things first, gotta eat!
I ordered fries, churros, iced americano, and a pear smoothie!
Red Button has grooves on the table to place drinks, so it was nice that they didn't get in the way while playing games.
The pear smoothie tasted exactly like Tank Boy (Korean pear ice bar) hehe.
The fries had nacho chips underneath and were sweet and savory.
Perfect to cleanse your palate with sweet churros after eating fries!
Play board games and fill your stomach~~
You can solve it all at once without having to go out to fill your stomach!
Red Button is the best indoor activity in Yeongdeungpo.
Be sure to try the churros.
They are filled with Nutella.
I brought a cooperative game on an easy version.
Because I'm competitive and might fight, ke ke...
I learned the game through a video and jumped right in.
I played The Game first.
You have to place the cards according to the rules, and winning requires placing all the cards!
It sounds easy when you just say it,
But you don't know the other person's cards until the end, so communication is important,
And cooperation is very, very important.
The game description said that it might be frustrating, lol
It was frustrating, lol.
Because you don't know the other person's cards, so the other person is affected by what I put out.
But we succeeded!
Easy peasy~~
I immediately moved on to the second game, Codenames.
It's a game where you cooperate with your partner using keywords to find agents.
He's so into it he even took off his ring, haha.
Unfortunately, we lost this game ㅠㅠ
Explaining keywords is harder than I thought ㅠㅠ
I think people who are good at speed quizzes on variety shows are amazing.
Lastly, the classic Rummikub haha.
I just needed to put out a 1 to win
But I lost, unfortunately ㅠㅠ
When will I ever win?
They gave me a coupon at the counter when I left.
I'll keep it and use it when I revisit.
It was nice to have a different kind of date playing board games after a long time!
It seems like it would be good to relieve stress after work on weekdays,
And it would be perfect for teenagers to go after school.
Red Button Board Game Cafe in Yeongdeungpo is perfect for an indoor date in Yeongdeungpo!
If you're a little tired of the same old dates, give it a try~!!
