Hello everyone!
Today, I'd like to introduce Red Button Board Game Cafe in Yeongdeungpo – a great place for indoor fun!
It's perfect when you're tired of the heat and looking for something other than cafes or restaurants.
I went during a weekday afternoon, and it was already quite lively.
After entering, you can order at the counter. Here are the rates for Red Button:
₩3,000 per hour
(Teenagers: ₩2,000)
Red Button also offers a family rate. Kids under 10 are free, making it a perfect spot for families!
You can also get a ₩1,000 discount for a photo review!
Are you excited just looking at the games? I know I am!
There are so many games that they take up most of the lobby area!
The board games are categorized alphabetically, making them easy to find.
In addition to board games, there were also mystery games! You can ask for them at the counter.
Red Button Yeongdeungpo has a whopping 30 kinds of murder mystery & deduction games!
It seems like they have every game imaginable!
You can also register for the waiting list, so if there's a wait, you can kill time elsewhere and then come back.
There was a small game in front of the counter, perfect for playing while waiting or wandering around!
There was also a game accessory bar on one side of the counter.
Sometimes you need accessories like notes or chips while playing, so you can grab them here.
Don't forget to return the games to the counter when you're done!
There seemed to be three types of rooms:
Regular Rooms
The regular rooms also varied in size depending on the number of people.
Group Rooms
These were completely enclosed, probably for clubs or groups.
Attic Rooms
Yeongdeungpo has attic rooms, which are unique!
I've been to Red Button a few times, but this was my first time seeing attic rooms!
Here's what the attic looks like.
Very cozy, right?
The attic was cozy, and the ceiling height was good, so it wasn't stuffy when sitting down to play.
There's a restroom inside, so keep that in mind!
Each room has a tablet.
It was convenient because you could order various menu items with the tablet without having to go to the counter!
Since I was on the second-floor attic room, going down and coming back up was a bit of a hassle.
They even have penalty menu items! Haha.
Isn't that fun?
The loser has to eat an Icy-Ade! LOL
Perfect for fueling your competitive spirit!
When you order, an "Order being prepared" icon appears, and you'll get a notification on the tablet when your order is ready!
One of the great things about Red Button is that the games are well-categorized and explained.
You can search for the type of game you want and watch a video explanation, making it easy to enjoy even games you've never seen before.
First, food is most important!
Let's eat before we start.
I ordered fries, churros, an iced Americano, and a pear smoothie!
Red Button has grooves on the tables for drinks, so they don't get in the way while playing.
The pear smoothie tasted exactly like Tank Boy (a popular Korean pear ice bar)!
The fries had nacho chips underneath and were sweet and salty – delicious!
Eating fries and then cleansing your palate with a sweet churro is the perfect combination!
Play board games and fill your stomach – all in one place!
Red Button is the best place for indoor fun in Yeongdeungpo.
Be sure to try the churros!
They're filled with Nutella!
I went with the easy version and chose cooperative games.
Because I'm so competitive that we might fight, haha...
We watched a video explanation of the game and jumped right in.
We played "The Game" first.
You have to place the cards according to the rules, and you win if you put down the last card!
It seems easy just hearing about it,
But since you don't know your opponent's cards until the very end, communication and cooperation are very important.
The game description said it could be frustrating, and it was a little frustrating, haha.
Because you don't know the other person's cards, their cards affect what you play.
But we succeeded!
Piece of cake~~
We immediately moved on to the second game, Codenames.
A game where you cooperate with your partner to find agents based on keywords.
He was so engrossed that he even took off his ring, haha.
Unfortunately, we lost this game. ㅠㅠ
It's harder than I thought to explain keywords. ㅠㅠ
I think people who are good at speed quizzes on TV shows are amazing.
Lastly, the classic Rummikub, lol.
I only needed to put down a 1 to win,
But I lost. ㅠㅠ
I wonder when I'll ever win...
They gave us a coupon at the counter when we left.
I'll keep it and use it when I revisit.
It was nice to have a different kind of date playing board games after a long time!
It would be great for relieving stress after work during the week,
And it would be perfect for teenagers to go after school.
Red Button Board Game Cafe in Yeongdeungpo is perfect for an indoor date in Yeongdeungpo!
If you're a little tired of the same old dates, give it a try!!
