Mont Cookie: The Original Dubai Chon-Duk Cookie

Starting in Korea and making its way to Dubai as a hot dessert, Mont Cookie's Dubai Chon-Duk Cookie is a must-try!
The original Dubai Chon-Duk Cookie is here!
Let me share my experience with the original Mont Cookie.
Located in Gimpo, Mont Cookie specializes in American-style handmade cookies, but is now more widely known as the original place for Chon-Duk Cookies.
Key Highlights of Mont Cookie's Original Chon-Duk:
- No need to wait in line; shipping is available (note the price difference).
- Don't be surprised by the small size.
- No cocoa powder on the surface for a clean look.
- Enjoy the chewy outside and soft inside.
- Crispy Kataifi and rich chocolate flavor.
Shipping is available for the original Chon-Duk Cookie, so you don't have to stand in line! I ordered mine online to avoid the hassle.
A set consists of four cookies, and delivery takes about 2-3 days on weekdays. Just keep in mind that shipping might be a bit more expensive than buying in-store.
Currently, Mont Cookie has a pop-up store in Yeouido, and in just two hours, they sold 4,000 cookies! I opted for delivery instead of waiting in line.
Don't be surprised by the small size when you receive your order! This little cookie caused a sensation in Korea just six months after its launch.
Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed the size. While I was somewhat prepared for it, it can still be surprising if you have no prior information.
Despite its size, this cookie has skyrocketed Mont Cookie's sales, reaching 15,000 cookies a day and over 2 billion won in monthly sales!
Unlike the typical Dubai Chon-Duk Cookie, the original has no cocoa powder on the surface, making it cleaner for shipping and individual packaging.
Thanks to this feature, you can enjoy it without getting messy with powder!
How to best enjoy the original Mont Cookie? I experimented with different methods. First, I chilled it in the refrigerator to enhance the texture.
When cut at room temperature, the outside remains slightly chewy, while the inside has a bit more texture. Chilling it intensifies the chocolate flavor and makes the inside firmer.
The best way to enjoy it is to warm it up! Using an air fryer or oven brings out the gooeyness of the marshmallow, Kataifi, and pistachio.
According to an interview with Mont Cookie's representative, placing it in a warm blanket for 20 minutes before eating is the best way to enjoy it!
The combination of crispy Kataifi and rich chocolate flavor makes the Dubai Chon-Duk Cookie a unique treat. It has a slightly different texture and taste compared to the commonly known version, which might lead to mixed reviews.
Personally, I found it pairs beautifully with coffee when taken out of the refrigerator, enhancing the chocolate flavor.
With the option to order online, you can enjoy the original Chon-Duk Cookie without searching for a store. Recently, they also released a new Italian-style cookie, so it's a great time to try the original!
