Imsil Osugyeon Campground: From Dog Playgrounds to Showers!

Imsil Osugyeon Campground
On September 29, 2025, the 'Osugyeon National Leisure Campground,' where you can stay with your pets, opened in Geumam-ri, Osu-myeon, Imsil-gun. The 9,000㎡ site features 22 auto camping decks and caravan sites, as well as convenient facilities such as pet-only shower rooms, which is welcome news for campers with pets.
Since its temporary opening in July 2025, it has been receiving a lot of attention from camping communities and social media, and is attracting attention as a campground where large dogs are allowed. All sites are equipped with fences, large decks, and roofs, allowing owners and their dogs to stay safely and comfortably.
The 'Osugyeon National Leisure Campground' has 22 neatly arranged camping decks, and each site has a dedicated pet fence. Thanks to this, dogs can run and play safely, making it a particularly attractive campground for pet owners.
A pet playground is located in the center of camping area A, and it was convenient to use because it is located right in front of the management office. It was very impressive that there was a space where dogs could run around freely nearby.
The management building was very impressive as it was equipped with a management office, shower room, toilet, sink, and a dedicated shower room for pet families. The composition of convenience facilities considered both people and dogs who use the campsite seemed to improve usability.
This is the men's shower room. I was surprised that not only was the inside well organized, but it was also managed so neatly. Generally, when you visit a campsite, even if it is clean overall, the shower room, sink, or toilet are often relatively disappointing, but here, the cleanliness was so outstanding that you could use it with confidence without such worries.
This is a shower room dedicated to pets. It is very practical to use as it is equipped with a stand that makes it easy to shower and drying equipment to dry the fur. Seeing these facilities, I thought that pet owners would have no choice but to visit again. I felt that the consideration for pets was a great advantage.
Here are the toilet facilities. The inside was so neatly managed that it was so clean that I almost didn't want to use it. Furthermore, it was fully equipped with a sink and basic facilities, giving it a feeling that went beyond the level of a campsite toilet, and it was a space where I could feel the consideration for users.
This is information on items that can be purchased and rented at the management office. These days, most campers come fully prepared with the necessary equipment, but it was impressive to see that basic supplies such as squid packs, firewood, reel cords, chairs, tables, and scrubbers were provided for purchase or rental in case of an emergency.
This is the sink and recycling area. This place was also in very good condition overall, and I felt good while using it because it was well organized. Thanks to the clean environment, I thought that users would naturally have no choice but to use it cleanly. I was even more satisfied because it was a space that directly showed the overall hygiene management level of the campsite.
After passing camping area A, you will see the caravan site, followed by camping area B. If you walk slowly up here for about 3-4 minutes, you will find a large park, which was a great place to take a walk or spend time with children.
It was great for taking a light walk after camping at the nearby Osugyeon Tourist Site, and I was very satisfied with the relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to use with pets.
For reference, the Osugyeon Tourist Site is where the legend of a righteous dog who saved its owner's life in a crisis and ended its life is passed down, and is a large-scale dog tourism destination that is rare in the country.
Inside the tourist site, there is a playground and walking trail dedicated to dogs, as well as the Osugae Research Center, where you can enjoy various experiences with your pets. In addition, different flowers are planted along the Osugcheon Stream every season, so it is also attractive that you can feel a different atmosphere depending on the season.
The 22 decks, each measuring 10m x 9m, are designed to comfortably accommodate both people and pets, and are large enough to easily accommodate large tents. It was especially notable that it was carefully designed to allow family visitors as well as users with pets to rest safely and comfortably.
One camper who visited the campsite said, "It's rare to find a campsite with such good facilities for camping with dogs. I was so happy that both my child and my dog were happy on this trip."
In a short sentence, I could feel how warm and precious the time here was, and the value of a space where both people and pets can stay comfortably.
Imsil Osugyeon National Leisure Campground was more than just a resting space; it was a place where people and pets could stay together and take a complete rest. I was even more impressed by the well-maintained decks and fences, pet shower rooms, clean facilities, and natural scenery, and it will remain a precious time when children and dogs could run around together and adults could relax.
