Ijaemo Pizza in Busan is becoming as famous as Sungsimdang in Daejeon!
My husband, who usually only thinks of dwaeji gukbap (pork rice soup) and milmyeon (wheat noodles) when it comes to Busan, surprisingly led the way to this place, saying he heard about it somewhere.
On the way, we saw Busan Tower.
I heard there's a statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin up there, but hiking would make us lose our appetite, so we passed.
We arrived at 11 AM to have an early lunch, but there was already a long wait!
I don't know if it was because of the vacation season or if there's always a wait on weekdays, but we waited for about an hour to get in.
Even my husband, who usually hates waiting, patiently waited since he was the one who suggested going.
Waiting Information:
You need to get a queue number from the kiosk in front of the takeout store.
You can easily spot it because there are crowds of people across from the main branch.
There's also a Gwangbok Branch 2 next to the main branch, and people seemed to put their names down at both locations and go to whichever calls them first.
After getting your queue number, you can go inside and wait in the cool air conditioning.
The downside is that there are so many people waiting that there aren't enough seats.
It might be a good idea to explore the market while you wait.
Let's go inside!
At the entrance, we were greeted by a giant ribbon and a Coca-Cola bottle cap clock.
Cute!
Of course, my husband wasn't interested.
The restaurant is very spacious.
I can't believe so many people are eating pizza for lunch...
Since it was our first time, we had to try the most basic pizza.
Many people get the crust half cheese and half sausage, but we love cheese crust, so we only got cheese crust.
My husband insisted that we had to get a large pizza because it's a better deal.
Apparently, it has more toppings.
Ugh, that engineer brain of his.
We also ordered drinks meticulously.
They only give you a cup for the cola, and you have to get it yourself from the self-serve bar, but I don't know why refills aren't allowed.
Then shouldn't they serve it themselves?
The large size was amazing.
It was too much for the two of us.
It came out quickly, so the cheese was nice and stretchy.
As rumored, there was plenty of cheese.
Imagine a delicious cheese crust combination pizza.
I thought pizza all tastes the same, and it was pretty much what I expected.
I recommend it if you want to check out a popular place, even if it's not that special.
I don't recommend it if you hate waiting or think it's ridiculous to eat pizza in Busan.
I recommend it!
My husband is on the fence.
