HiKR GROUND: A Fun Place to Visit in Seoul with Kids

A while ago, I visited HiKR GROUND in Jonggak, Seoul, with my child. This place, run by the Korea Tourism Organization, is a space created for travelers from all over the world, the HiKR (Hi Korea) generation.
You can also make reservations for special experiences, but they were all sold out on the day I wanted to go, unfortunately. I visited without a reservation, and I was very satisfied!

HiKR GROUND

It's conveniently located near Exit 5 of Jonggak Station.

The building is a large space spanning from the 1st to the 5th floor. Since I went without much information, I entered with a mix of anticipation and worry!
As soon as I entered, I saw a large screen. I was a bit bewildered, thinking, "Wow, what is this place?" But a staff member told me that I was free to look around up to the 5th floor!

There's a floor guide, but to be honest, it wasn't very helpful. Now, let me introduce you to my experience!
2nd Floor
HiKR Hills / K-Pop Ground / K-Pop Lounge
You can go up to the 2nd floor by stairs or elevator, making it easy to move around. There were many foreign tourists, and the experience booth you see as soon as you go up is exclusively for foreigners. Locals can't use it.
It seemed like an essential tourist spot for foreigners visiting Korea.

The stage area immediately caught my eye. It's a place where you can directly adjust the lighting, play the music you want, go up and dance, so my child loved it so much. My child loves to dance, so I thought I came to the right place.
Next to it, there was a space like a classroom, and there was also a laundromat-themed space like a music video set. It was great for taking pictures.

There were also unique spaces reminiscent of a trip to space or the subway, so every corner was a photo zone.
After finishing the tour of the 2nd floor, I went up to the 3rd floor. There was an escalator on each floor, making it easy to move around with my child!
3rd Floor
HiKR Tower / HiKR Street
When I moved to the 3rd floor, another space unfolded. It's great for taking pictures, so it's good to go with your child like me, and it seems like a good date spot too!

This space like a bus stop also seems unique and pretty when you take pictures.
There was also a karaoke experience space. It was decorated like a real karaoke room, so my child was very curious. You can only sing one song, and the singing is filmed and you can receive it as a QR code.
Most kids seemed to like it. I think my child sang it about three times.

If you go a little further inside, there is a mukbang YouTuber experience space. You can choose the food or background you want and film a video, and you can receive it as a QR code, so my child was excited like they were a YouTuber.
I was also amazed and excited because I could directly experience things that my child usually likes!

Isn't it like a magazine cover shot?
There is also a corner decorated like a convenience store. If you choose two foods and scan the QR code, the two foods are combined in the screen to create a new menu, so my child and I had fun and kept trying it. There were many other experiences besides this!
4th Floor
HiKR Tower / Local Ground
The 4th floor is a special exhibition space related to Korean Wave content and Korean tourism, and the exhibition content changes every season.
There were also camping and hiking-related items, and I took a quick look around and went up to the 5th floor.
5th Floor
HiKR Lounge / Tourist Information Center / Knotted
When I went up to the 5th floor, I saw various tourist maps! It was prepared in such a variety that I could see the will to properly promote Korea, so it seemed useful not only for foreigners but also for people planning domestic trips.

Further inside, there is a space to rest, an information center, and Cafe Knotted.
I visited with my child. It was a perfect place for my elementary school child who is into K-pop songs these days.
If you have a child who likes to dance and take pictures, you must go here! Moreover, all of these experiences are free, so it couldn't be better.
I recommend it as a place to visit with children in Seoul!
