On May 8, 2026, the Haman Chilsseo Ecological Park marked the start of the Green Barley and Peony Festival.
Visitors can enjoy the vast fields of green barley and blooming peonies during the festival, with various experiences and food available to enhance their visit.
Currently, we will also provide information on the blooming status of the green barley and peonies.
There are a total of seven parking areas for the festival, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for many visitors.
The peony fields at Haman Gangnaru Ecological Park are about 50% in bloom, with some areas still yet to bloom. While the peony field near the main event area may disappoint first-time visitors due to its incomplete blooming, other sections are beautifully blooming, so take your time to explore.
The peony field covers an area of 66,000 square meters, filled with colorful peonies, while the green barley field extends over 420,000 square meters, creating a breathtaking scene of endless green waves.
Photos taken on May 8 show that the inner peony blooms are about 60% open.
Most of the peony fields are cordoned off to prevent entry, both to ensure safety from potential snakes and to allow more people to enjoy the flowers. For great photos, try taking pictures from the corners, standing on either side to capture the beauty without entering the field.
There is a photo zone where you can take pictures while riding a carriage, and a train ride is available between the peony and green barley fields. The train fare is 6,000 won, with discounts for children under 13, seniors over 70, and free for children under 24 months.
The green barley field offers a serene experience, allowing visitors to walk slowly and enjoy the vibrant spring atmosphere.
As time passes, the green barley will turn golden, showcasing a different kind of beauty.
At the food market, a peony photo booth is available for free photos, but be aware that it may close early due to high demand.
Behind the main stage, there is another peony field with a beautifully decorated photo zone.
Upon entering the main event area, you will find booths featuring local star companies and products made in Haman. Payments can be made by card, which is convenient.
There is also a tasting corner where you can sample products while enjoying the stage performances.
The festival's main event, a fireworks display, adds to the beauty of the festivities each year.
The Haman Green Barley and Peony Festival is a wonderful experience, and even after the festival ends, you can visit to see the green barley and peonies during weekdays or weekends.
