Exploring the Taehwa River Skywalk in Ulsan

Recently, a new facility has been established next to Taehwaru, a great spot to enjoy the Taehwa River and Taehwa National Garden in Ulsan.
While visiting during the day is nice, I decided to check out the new Taehwaru Skywalk in the evening to enjoy the night view.
I initially thought Taehwaru closed at night, but it is actually open for evening visits.
From the second floor pavilion, you can see the entire structure of the Taehwaru Skywalk.
Operating hours for Taehwaru are as follows:
- Winter (November to February): 09:00 - 20:00
- Summer (March to October): 09:00 - 21:00
Right next to Taehwaru is the Taehwa River Skywalk.
The electric swings and nets require a reservation, and tickets can be obtained from a self-service kiosk.
Operating information for the Taehwa River Skywalk:
- Address: 300 Taehwa-ro, Jung-gu, Ulsan
- Closed: Every Tuesday
- Operating hours: Skywalk from March to October 09:00 - 21:00, November to February 09:00 - 20:00
- Electric swings and nets from March to October 10:00 - 13:00, November to February 10:00 - 13:00
- Admission: Free, electric swings/nets require prior reservation
The Taehwa River Skywalk is designed to resemble a whale, a symbol often associated with Ulsan.
During the evening, the electric swings and nets are not in operation, allowing for immediate entry.
During the day, visitors can enjoy playing under the large net installed below.
Children particularly love the thrilling experience of the net that overlooks the Taehwa River.
As you approach the observation deck, you'll find a glass floor that adds to the excitement.
At the end of the observation deck, there is an electric swing that operates only during the day, providing a unique activity at the edge of the Taehwa River.
Note that the electric swings and net facilities may be closed due to weather conditions such as rain, strong winds, or freezing temperatures.
Visiting the Taehwa River Skywalk at night allows you to enjoy the beautiful night views of Ulsan's Nam-gu and Jung-gu districts.
From above the flowing Taehwa River, you can also see the Silli Dae Bamboo Bridge leading to Taehwa National Garden.
If you visit between 20:00 and 22:00, you can experience a media facade showcasing the entire space of the Taehwa River Skywalk.
The area next to Taehwaru, where the Taehwaru Skywalk is located, is known as Yonggeumso.
This site was historically significant during the Silla Dynasty, where rituals were performed to pray for rain in times of drought.
The Taehwa River Skywalk offers a stunning view of Taehwaru from the cliffside that was previously inaccessible.
I visited Taehwaru to see the breathtaking new night view at the Taehwaru Skywalk, where it feels like the whales are dancing.
Daytime visits allow for fun activities on the electric swings and nets, while evening visits reveal the dazzling night scenery of Ulsan.
The best spot to enjoy the night view of Taehwaru is undoubtedly the Taehwaru Skywalk.
