Seonbi, Changnyeong Blog Reporter, 15th Term, 2026

A neighborhood where simply walking around makes you feel better,

I visited Bugok in Changnyeong, known for its warm foot bath facilities.

Bugok is famous for its hot springs, boasting a water temperature of 78°C, one of the highest in the country.

While I usually visited Bugok for bathing, this time I enjoyed foot baths, leisurely walks, and delicious snacks, discovering another charm of winter Bugok.

These days, Bugok in Changnyeong is gaining popularity as a winter healing destination.

For those who plan to visit by bus, here’s some terminal information.

Upon arriving, I saw a notice at the entrance stating that normal operations were difficult due to a decrease in passengers, which made my heart a bit heavy.

However, upon entering, I found an unexpected space that felt genuine and unpretentious.

Visiting between 1 PM and 2 PM, the sunlight was particularly warm and soft, making it an ideal time for photography.

If word gets out, it might become a well-known spot for capturing life’s beautiful moments.

Checking the terminal schedule before visiting would be wise.

Bus routes to Busan Sasang, Daegu Seobu, and Masan Hapseongdong are still operational, making it easier for those coming from afar.

The Renaissance Hall, a first-time visit for me, was exciting as it’s close to the terminal and perfect for indoor activities on a cold day.

However, I found a sad notice at the entrance stating it was temporarily closed as of mid-January. If you plan to visit, I recommend calling ahead.

Although the Renaissance Hall was closed, I could see children playing joyfully at a nearby playground, bringing a sense of vitality to Bugok.

Passing by Bugok Hawaii, which is currently not in operation, I reflected on how it was once a significant landmark for introducing Changnyeong across the country.

I hope it becomes a lively space filled with laughter again someday.

I visited the Fountain Park while strolling, which operates in the summer, so I couldn’t see the fountain now, but I’m already looking forward to the joy it brings in the warmer months.

Even though I missed the fountain, there’s a foot bath area across from the park that warms the heart during winter.

On the Sunday I visited, the foot bath was open, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural hot spring water of Bugok!

Many people were enjoying their foot baths in their own ways, and everyone looked relaxed, which made me feel that the hot springs were indeed providing healing.

Nearby, Hanul Park also has a foot bath, making it a great spot to relax after a walk.

Those enjoying the free foot baths should consider bringing a small towel for their visit.

Walking along the healing trail marked on the ground can be a delightful experience.

If you’re unsure where to go, following the signs of the healing trail could be a good idea.

For those who frequent Bugok for bathing, a popular post-bath treat is enjoying carp bread and fish cakes.

I heard that my favorite fish cake shop had moved, so I took the opportunity to visit while walking around.

After enjoying the foot bath and walk, indulging in a light winter snack would surely make for a happy outing.

Next to Hanul Park, there is a craft workshop where you can find various handmade products inspired by Changnyeong's scenery.

After warming up with the foot bath and enjoying winter snacks, you can relax in a place filled with retro charm and warmth.

This winter, why not take some time to unwind in Bugok, Changnyeong?
