Exploring the Healing Paths of Ilgwang Tourist Site

Recently, more people are practicing earthing for their health. Earthing refers to making contact with the ground, such as walking barefoot on earthen paths or sandy beaches.
In June, I enjoyed a warm day walking on the earthen path under a cool shade and dipping my feet in the cold sea before strolling along the sandy shore.
The first place I visited was the earthen path at Ilgwang Tourist Site.
Adjacent to the main entrance of the Gijang County Sports Center, there is a 216-meter earthen path and a 50-square-meter earthen yard.
Currently, the earthen path stretches 216 meters, but an additional 476 meters is planned for development in the upcoming second half of the year. At the entrance to the earthen path, there are facilities for washing feet and a shoe rack.
After placing my shoes in the rack, I stepped onto the earthen yard. Carefully, I took one step at a time, and the cool touch of the earthen surface felt delightful under my feet. The far infrared rays emitted from the earth stimulate cellular functions and help detoxify the body. This made me want to walk longer.
The earthen path created along the walkway at Ilgwang Tourist Site feels like stepping into a staircase made of earth. While the sunlit areas felt slightly dry, the shaded spots under the dense trees allowed me to truly appreciate the moist texture of the earth.
Upon reaching the top of the stairs, there was a resting area where I could sit and relax.
After enjoying the view, I walked back to the entrance of the extended earthen path.
As I descended the earthen stairs, I felt healthier with each step, the soft texture of the earth and the earthy scent carried by the cool breeze completing my pleasant walk.
Feeling a bit wistful, I took a few more laps around the earthen yard before heading to Imrang Beach.
A short 10-minute drive from the entrance of Ilgwang Tourist Site leads to Imrang Beach. While the sensation of walking on the earthen path is enjoyable, the feeling of walking on the beach sand is equally delightful.
I walked slowly along the shore, feeling the waves brush against my feet. The sensation of the sea was refreshing, and it felt great that it was not too cold for June.
Although it was a hot day, the coolness of the sea made me forget the heat.
Walking forward and then glancing back, I watched the waves wash away my footprints in the sand.
During my time walking on the earthen paths and the beach, I forgot my stress and enjoyed a day filled with healing.
After rinsing off the sand at the foot-washing station in front of the Imrang Beach shower facilities, I headed home.
With the sudden rise in temperature, daily fatigue and stress seem to be increasing. I hope you can take some time to walk on the earthen paths and the beach to relieve your stress and fatigue.
