Exploring the Beauty of Yeonam Garden in Summer

Noticing the change of seasons is often easier in nature's scenery than through the weather or people's clothing. Just as it is natural for one season to transition into another, summer flowers replace the spring blooms that have faded.
Before we know it, summer flowers are already announcing the season in various places.
Last year, Yeonam Garden became extremely popular with its log photo zone! I highly recommend visiting Yeonam Garden in the summer to truly appreciate its beauty.
The log photo zone becomes even more vibrant in summer, and behind it, lotus flowers bloom, creating an even more stunning landscape.
The garden is equipped with ample parking and restrooms for convenience. If you want to visit the log photo zone first, just enter the parking lot and head straight in; it's close to the bridge photo zone.
Lotus flowers that bloom in summer are lovely not only on clear days but also on rainy days. You can enjoy the sight of raindrops dancing on the large lotus leaves, bouncing as they fall.
The lotus flowers peeking out between the lush leaves of the pond are truly beautiful. Doesn’t it remind you of Monet’s garden?
This year, unlike last year, many hydrangeas have been planted. The popularity of hydrangeas, especially the Jangsaengpo variety, has led to a significant number being planted in Yeonam Garden. However, some hydrangeas in areas with little shade have struggled in the heat, resulting in wilted leaves, which is quite unfortunate.
There are also plenty of mophead hydrangeas growing around the bridge photo zone.
Underneath the bridge, frogbit densely covers the water’s surface. This might just be the most beautiful time for aquatic plants to show off their splendor. I believe many people will take photos here again this year.
This area, rich in aquatic plants and trees, is a great habitat for wildlife. Yeonam Garden is home to various birds and aquatic plants. The abundance of food resources makes it a popular spot for birdwatching.
On that day, I encountered many birds, both large and small. This place serves as a nesting and resting area for them.
On a July afternoon filled with blooming red lotuses, the hydrangeas appeared to be wilting from the heat, while the lotus flowers remained vibrant, filling the wetlands with life.
You can also take a moment to enjoy a video of this beautiful scene.
There are symbolic lotus sculptures that serve as unique photo spots. Additionally, there are even lotus-themed trick art installations. Yeonam Garden offers a variety of lotus flower views!
I recommend resting at the second-floor pavilion while enjoying the beautiful summer scenery of Yeonam Garden. Take in the view of the blooming lotus flowers from above. You may discover the true essence of a lush summer garden, with dragonflies buzzing around and birds chirping.
The cicadas, which are essential to this season, sing in swarms, creating a sound that can be quite piercing to the ears. However, considering the long wait and few weeks of singing in their lives, their calls seem more like a poignant cry than mere noise. The sound of cicadas feels like a charming announcement of the season.
The lush summer landscape of Yeonam Garden, enhanced by the lotus flowers, is even more beautiful. If the hydrangeas were to flourish, it would be even more stunning, but achieving this requires careful effort and attention.
Yeonam Garden is a wonderful place to pack a simple snack and enjoy healing time in nature. If you wish to enjoy the lotus scenery in the heart of Ulsan, make sure to visit Yeonam Garden this summer!
