Exploring the 2026 Taean World Tulip Flower Expo

Before the weather gets too hot, I was looking for places to visit with my baby, and this week we decided to go to Taean.
During our visit, the 2026 Taean World Tulip Flower Expo will be held from April 1 to May 6, 2026, so we decided to check out the tulip festival!
Currently, tickets are not available online, so we bought them on-site. The ticket price was 14,000 KRW for adults, and entry is free for children under 36 months!
We entered through the South Gate ticket booth and decided to visit the nursing room before exploring the expo.
The nursing room was conveniently located right in front of the South Gate ticket booth. Though it was a small space, it had a baby bed, a sofa, and a changing table. However, the hygiene could use some improvement.
After nursing, we found that there was a tractor train operating to explore the expo area. Since we had a stroller and needed to buy separate tickets for the train, we decided to walk around instead.
Upon entering, we visited the Versailles Palace, which was immediately visible. The garden was filled with colorful tulips, truly captivating.
There was also an observation deck that allowed us to look down over the garden. From above, we could see the patterns formed by the tulips.
While most of the tulips were still fresh, some were less vibrant as the festival was nearing its end, and staff were busy tidying up.
After leaving the Versailles Palace, we walked towards the geometric garden near the North Gate ticket booth. It was nice to see canola flowers blooming alongside the tulips.
Although there wasn't a viewing area from above, the vast tulip garden was stunning.
The main garden followed directly from the geometric garden, showcasing a variety of tulip species all in one place.
We then crossed a suspension bridge next to the main garden to reach the rainbow garden. Taking photos in the flower-lined path was delightful.
Although we couldn't explore every nook and cranny due to the stroller, our visit to the Taean Tulip Festival was enjoyable. While there were some areas that could be improved considering the entrance fee, it was a lovely festival to appreciate tulips.
