Summer Vacation in Sokcho
Sokcho Souvenir Shop List
Sokcho Travel Bucket List: Visiting Souvenir Shops!
When I travel, I always make sure to buy a magnet. Recently, even domestic travel destinations have adorable magnets.
Even if you don't buy anything, souvenir shops are exciting just to look around.
Now, let me introduce you to some souvenir shops near Sokcho Jungang Market!
Contents:
① Shingiru Store
② Soksokdeuri Souvenir Shop
③ Luna Sea Souvenir Shop
1. Shingiru Store
After eating potato ongsimi for lunch near Sokcho Jungang Market, the first place I visited was Shingiru Store.
Take note of the store's operating hours and closing days!
The first thing that caught my eye was the memo pads and stickers.
I used to love writing in my monthly diary and feeling proud while putting stickers on it. Haha.
But these days, I don't have a need for stickers or memo pads, so I just looked at them.
This seems to be a turtle-shaped phone grip. I took a picture because the phrase "Sokcho Wazzani" was cuter.
My husband showed it to me, saying it looked like me... What am I going to do with him...
This is my favorite magnet corner. There are so many different kinds that my eyes widened!
Check out the magnets at Shingiru Store!
This is the magnet I was drawn to. If you collect them all and connect them, it becomes a map of Korea!
They also sell the map, but I don't have room to hang a map at home, so I decided to just buy the Sokcho magnet.
The squid is attached to a spring, so it wiggles!
Magnets with different expressions of potatoes. And also, glasses and mobiles.
There were so many different kinds that it was fun to look around.
These cute items stopped me in my tracks!!
Removable Stickers (2 for 500 won)
They are so cute, but where would I stick them?? I couldn't find a good use for them, so I just took a picture.
I bought the Sokcho magnet with Onnuri Gift Certificates.
Shingiru Store accepts both Sokcho Love Gift Certificates and Onnuri Gift Certificates!

2. Soksokdeuri Souvenir Shop
The second souvenir shop is Soksokdeuri Souvenir Shop, located at the entrance of Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market.
It's near the public parking lot, so it's perfect to visit before looking around the market.

They had a lot of mother-of-pearl mobiles here. They are all handmade.
When traveling domestically, I'm often disappointed that souvenir shops sell the same products, but Sokcho souvenir shops have different products in each shop, which makes it fun to look around.
They also sell caramel made with Gangwon-do's specialty products, potatoes and corn. I think foreigners would like it.
They also had a lot of different kinds of alcohol, which are great for gifting to drinkers.

An impressive loaf of bread cat.
They also had magnets made of coral.
The Sokcho spelling was written on a piece of glass. Am I the only one who thinks it looks like a dinosaur??!!
I think I saw an Onnuri Gift Certificate QR code at Soksokdeuri Souvenir Shop, but I'm not sure.

3. Luna Sea Souvenir Shop (Sokcho Jungang Market)
Luna Sea is located just around the corner from Soksokdeuri Souvenir Shop.

I saw stickers that I hadn't seen in the other two souvenir shops, so I took a picture.
They had more alcohol than souvenirs here. I wanted to buy makgeolli, but I wasn't feeling well, so I held back. Too bad...
I recommend Luna Sea Souvenir Shop for those who want to buy alcohol as a gift.
