Exploring Jwawangcheon: A Seasonal Flower Haven in Gijang-gun

Jwawangcheon, a representative ecological stream in Gijang-gun, is also the second local garden in Busan.
To transform the local garden of Jwawangcheon into a year-round flower and garden attraction, Gijang-gun has created hydrangea gardens in Witgok Park and Gumokjeong Park.
First, let's visit the 'Cypress Forest Hydrangea Garden' located in Witgok Park (709 Maehak-ri, Jeonggwan-eup).
In the rose garden of Witgok Park, you can admire about 30,000 roses from 77 different varieties all in one place.
As the vibrant roses fade, hydrangeas begin to bloom beautifully.
Currently, varieties such as Red Baron, Verena, Endless Summer, and Limelight are in full bloom, creating a stunning pathway beneath the cypress trees.
This garden is designed for healing, connected to the cypress forest.
There are photo zones for capturing atmospheric pictures, and swings and benches under the cypress trees provide a perfect spot to relax.
You can still find some blooming roses in the rose garden.
Since June 4, an outdoor water play area has opened, featuring water slides, water drops, and various fountains.
This outdoor water play area is free to use.
Additionally, the Witgok Park area offers a nightscape project, allowing visitors to enjoy a beautiful light display both day and night.
Now, let's head to Gumokjeong Park (1334 Yongsu-ri, Jeonggwan-eup), located across from Witgok Park.
Gumokjeong Park features a walking path lined with approximately 15,000 roses from 169 different varieties.
It includes a large 'Rose Tunnel', photo zones with rose backdrops, and a deck road observation point.
In conjunction with the Jwawangcheon water-friendly space, Gumokjeong Park is also developing a hydrangea cluster this year.
The project is set to be completed by June 20.
Unlike the charmingly decorated Witgok Park, the hydrangea cluster offers a different floral experience.
Gumokjeong Park also has a spacious green lawn, badminton court, and foot volleyball area, making it a great place for children to play.
The Jwawangcheon local garden features various themed spaces, including the cypress forest, Byeongsan Reservoir theme road, Witgok Park rose garden and water play area, Gumokjeong Park rose tunnel, and azalea garden, creating a lovely walking environment throughout the seasons.
Weekends can get crowded with visitors.
You can use the public parking lot across from Witgok Park and walk to the park.
