How to use the 'Gunsan City Tour'
The Gunsan City Tour offers a comfortable travel program that takes you to the main tourist attractions of Gunsan via a dedicated bus, accompanied by a cultural tour guide.

Primarily operates on Saturdays and Sundays (one trip per course each day)
◆ Fare
5,000 KRW for individuals / 4,000 KRW for groups (20 or more)
◆ Booking Method
Register on the 'Gunsan City Culture and Tourism' website, select your desired course, and make a payment.
◆ Booking Deadline
Reservations for trips on Saturday and Sunday must be completed by 5:00 PM on the Thursday of the same week.
Customized Course Introduction
Course 1 (Time Travel Village & Gogu Island): Departing from the intercity bus terminal and Gunsan Station (operates on Saturday and Sunday)
Course 2 (Walking Tour of Modern Cultural Heritage): Departing from the Modern History Museum
Course 3 (Iksan Station Departure Course): Departing from Iksan Station ➡️ Time Travel Village ➡️ Gogu Island

The first destination was the much-anticipated Gogu Island. Arriving at Gunsan Station at 10 AM after taking the early train, I found the City Tour Bus stop right in front of the plaza, making it easy to board.
Depending on the number of reservations, either a 25-seater or a 40-seater bus is provided. On this day, around 20 travelers boarded a 25-seater bus with our guide to begin our adventure.
Our first stop was Gogu Island, where we enjoyed delicious hotteok (sweet pancakes) before starting our exploration.
Those with good stamina climbed to Daejangbong for panoramic views, while others, including myself, walked the Jangja Bridge Skywalk, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the blue sea and scattered islands below.
After exploring Seonyudo, known as a playground for fairies, we wandered through the streets that felt like stepping back in time, guided by our knowledgeable tour guide.
One of our stops was the Shinheung-dong Japanese House, a two-story wooden building that showcased a beautifully arranged Japanese garden.
Next, we visited the iconic Chohwun Photo Studio, famous for being a filming location for the movie 'August's Christmas.' Walking through its doors felt like stepping into a film scene, filled with nostalgia.
The Gunsan Modern History Museum provided a glimpse into the city’s past, particularly the streets of Gunsan during the Japanese occupation in the 1930s. After our time travel, we took a break at Miz Coffee, enjoying refreshing coffee.
The final stop was the Modern Architecture Hall, a building that holds the painful history of colonial financial exploitation. Listening to our guide's detailed explanations made the struggles of our ancestors resonate deeply.
Overall, the Gunsan City Tour was a delightful experience, offering both stunning views and convenience for just 5,000 KRW. I left with happy memories and a desire to return, especially to see the beautiful winter scenery.
