In Ulsan Dong-gu, there is a special spot where you can enjoy both the beautiful pine trees and the azure East Sea.

This place is none other than the iconic 'Daewangam Park.'

Among its attractions, we would like to introduce the 'Daewangam Park Suspension Bridge,' which has established itself as a new landmark in Ulsan since its completion in June 2021.

The lush forest path lined with sea pines welcomes visitors as they approach the bridge. Detailed signposts make it easy to find.

The Daewangam Park Suspension Bridge is Ulsan's first suspension bridge and the first large-scale commercial tourist facility in Dong-gu. It connects the coastal walkway within the park, spanning 303 meters in length and standing 42.55 meters high.

Although there is a ticket booth, entrance is free.

The bridge operates from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the last entry at 5:40 PM. Please note that it is closed on the second Tuesday of every month and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.

Designed with a seismic rating of 1, it has been tested for wind resistance up to 64 m/s, ensuring structural stability. Families can visit with peace of mind, fully enjoying the breathtaking views of the East Sea.

As wearing shoes might be uncomfortable, indoor slippers are provided in various sizes.

The design of the bridge, which spans the sea without intermediate supports, offers an exhilarating experience as if walking directly on the water.

The scenery around the bridge, combined with the coastal walkway, creates a unique ambiance exclusive to Daewangam Park. The refreshing air filled with phytoncides from the dense pine forest and the scent of the sea provides visitors with a deeply healing experience.

As you cross the bridge, the curves of the coastline and the unique rock formations showcase Ulsan's natural geological resources.

Daewangam Park features well-maintained walking paths with various routes, including a 15-minute stroll and a 40-minute course.

The bridge is one-way, so after walking about 330 meters from the exit, you will find the entrance. There are dust brushes available on your way out to help keep your shoes clean.

Near the park entrance, there is a souvenir shop that operates from 10 AM to 6 PM, with a lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM. The shop is closed every Monday and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays. Here, you can find various items, including mascots, magnets, mugs, and mood lamps.

There are also charming shops around the park entrance, perfect for enjoying a quick snack and taking a break.

If you're visiting with children, you can't miss the 'Mir Playground.' With its unique dragon-shaped design, it is a popular spot for kids.

Crossing the suspension bridge before or after letting the kids play will make for a more satisfying family outing.

Daewangam Park also has a public parking lot. Parking is free for up to two hours on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays, the first 20 minutes are free, with a charge of 200 won for every additional 10 minutes. An automated payment system is available for convenient exit.

In addition to the suspension bridge, exploring the Ulsan Lighthouse, coastal walkways, and seasonal flower gardens will allow you to fully appreciate the charm of Daewangam Park.

This weekend, why not create unforgettable memories with your family against the backdrop of the beautiful East Sea?
