Changnyeong Hambak Park is currently blooming with peony flowers, creating a beautiful scenery. Known as a hidden gem in Gyeongnam, many visitors come around this time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, making it increasingly popular.
Location: 398-1, Gyori, Yeongsan-myeon, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do
Admission Fee: Free
Parking: Free
The unique feature of this park is that the peonies bloom splendidly along the slopes of the hill, offering a different vibe compared to flat peony fields.
The parking area is set up at various points along the uphill path. Using the lowest parking lot and walking slowly up while enjoying the view is a popular route in Hambak Park.
There is a large sign at the entrance, so be sure to check your current location and enjoy the nearby deck walking path.
I visited on May 10, and the blooming condition was very beautiful. While there were still some flower buds yet to bloom, over 80% of the flowers were in full bloom.
The peony fields in Hambak Park are indeed special. The elevation provides a different sense of space, and the natural blend of trees and flowers creates an organic beauty without any artificial feel. It feels like a natural flower garden.
Another advantage is the tranquility, allowing visitors to enjoy the peonies in peace. It’s a stunning place that not many people know about yet, making it possible to leisurely soak in the spring flowers.
For those who are tired of crowded places, I believe a visit to Changnyeong Hambak Park will be satisfying.
The walking path features photo zones, providing small enjoyable spots. The framed photo zone is a must-visit for anyone coming to see the peonies.
As the flowers are planted along the slope, you can capture stunning photos filled with blossoms as your background.
The walking trail continues to a temple and a spring. While you can drive, the distance isn’t long, and you might miss many beautiful views, so I recommend walking.
As you ascend, the view opens up, allowing you to appreciate the urban landscape of Changnyeong.
Rest assured, the park is quite accessible, so there’s no need for hiking gear. After parking, the peony fields are right in front of you.
I am confident this place will become even more famous in the future. I hope you visit soon to enjoy it before it gets crowded. Wishing you a day as abundant and beautiful as the peony flowers.
