The '2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo' will be held at the Taehwa River National Garden!

Currently, the garden is filled with the scents of peonies, poppies, and cornflowers.

While walking through the lush green garden is refreshing, why not take a ride on the popular 'Ulsan Electric Carriage' for a unique experience?

The 'Ulsan Electric Carriage' is located at the riverside hill in front of Taehwa Church, near the second entrance of the Taehwa River National Garden.

The nearest parking is at the public parking lot operated by the Jung-gu Urban Management Corporation. Parking is free from Monday to Wednesday and during rainy days, while it is paid from Thursday to Sunday from 1 PM to 7 PM.

Next to the ticket booth for the Ulsan Electric Carriage, there is a bike rental station offering affordable rates.

Bicycles range from standard models to tandem and quad carriages, with the quad carriage available only on weekends for 4,000 KRW per hour.

After deciding to save the bike ride for another time, I headed to the Ulsan Electric Carriage ticket booth.

It is recommended to reserve your tickets in advance through Naver to avoid disappointment, as the carriage is quite popular.

The fare for the Ulsan Electric Carriage is 10,000 KRW for general visitors (50% discount for Ulsan citizens), while special groups like multi-child families and veterans pay 5,000 KRW. Children under 36 months and veterans can ride for free.

On Mondays, the carriage is closed, and it operates from 10 AM to 5:40 PM Tuesday to Sunday, with a break from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Upon arriving, I used my Naver reservation to ride right away and enjoyed a 50% discount as a Ulsan citizen.

The starting point is located at the entrance plaza of the Bamboo Ecological Park, just below the ticket booth.

Across from the Bamboo Ecological Park, vibrant red poppies and cornflowers beckon visitors.

The Ulsan Electric Carriage is an eco-friendly carriage introduced ahead of the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo, and it began operations in March this year.

With a height of approximately 2 meters from the ground, it can accommodate up to four passengers.

During my afternoon ride, I enjoyed the company of a knowledgeable guide who provided commentary and answered questions, making for an enjoyable trip.

The view from the carriage was different and more expansive than when walking through the garden.

The most beautiful view can be seen at the Peony Garden, where the fragrant breeze accompanies the journey.

The route includes the Meadow Garden, Picnic Area, Peony Garden, Fragrance Garden, Butterfly Area, Naturalistic Garden, Zelkova Bridge, Willow Area, and O-san Pond.

As we rounded the corner at the end of the Peony Garden, the distant Taehwa Pavilion and its skywalk came into view.

After passing the colorful peonies, the lush green garden and the spectacular view of the Shimmidaebat Bridge at night also caught my eye.

Beyond the Shimmidaebat Bridge, we passed the lavender Fragrance Garden established in 2018.

The next stop is the Butterfly Plaza, which features a barefoot walking path leading to the Milky Way Road.

Here, the carriage stops briefly, allowing visitors to take photos and rest.

Continuing past the Butterfly Area, we encountered the beautiful landscape of the naturalistic garden designed by renowned garden designer Piet Oudolf.

This is the first Oudolf naturalistic garden in Asia, now featuring a space for reading books free of charge.

As autumn approaches, this area transforms into a vibrant chrysanthemum garden.

Everywhere I looked from the carriage, there was a perfect photo opportunity.

Riding the Ulsan Electric Carriage was a serene experience, free from noise and pollution, allowing me to enjoy the natural beauty of the garden.

As the weather gets warmer, walking through the Taehwa River National Garden is enjoyable, but experiencing it from the Ulsan Electric Carriage offers a relaxing way to take in the scenery.

After my carriage ride, I headed to the Taehwa River National Garden Information Center to check out the giant Ferris wheel.

The Ferris wheel departs from the entrance of the Milky Way Road towards O-san Square.

During the busy afternoon, I was unable to ride the Ferris wheel due to the crowds, but I plan to return earlier next time for a ride.

I highly recommend taking a ride on the Ulsan Electric Carriage if you visit the Taehwa River National Garden!

Enjoy your time in Ulsan!
