Explore the Night at Jangsaengpo Whale Culture District

Today, I would like to share exciting news about the extended night hours at Jangsaengpo Whale Culture District, a representative tourist spot in Ulsan.
From the entrance, the adorable character 'Jangsaengi' welcomes visitors, boosting children's excitement. The night at Jangsaengpo has a different charm compared to the day.
The Jangsaengpo Whale Culture District is open for extended night hours. On weekends (Saturday/Sunday), from 6 PM to 8 PM, you can enter the Whale Museum, Whale Ecology Experience Center, and Whale Culture Village for free. No separate ticket is required; you can enter right after 6 PM.

The Whale Museum, established in Jangsaengpo, which was once a whaling base, is the only whale museum in Korea. Since whaling was banned in 1986, it collects, preserves, and exhibits whaling artifacts that are disappearing, providing various information related to whales.
Spanning from the first to the third floors, visitors can even touch whale skeletons. One highlight for kids is the slide that connects the third and second floors. Only children aged 4 to 12 can ride (adult accompaniment is not allowed).
We were amazed to learn about the use of whale products in daily life. From pencils used by children to lipsticks used by mothers, whales are deeply embedded in our lives.
At the observation deck, exhibitions are held, offering a beautiful view of the sea in front of Jangsaengpo.
There is a photo zone where you can draw in the dark with glow-in-the-dark paint. I believe this is a place children will love, as they can see their own drawings on the screen.
After exploring the Whale Museum, we headed to the Whale Ecology Experience Center.
The path to the Ecology Experience Center features a photo zone you can't miss. There are suggested poses for taking realistic life photos.
Opened in November 2009, the Whale Ecology Experience Center is the first exhibition-style aquarium in Korea where you can observe dolphins in their daily life. I think this is a favorite spot for many kids, as they can watch dolphins swimming freely in the water.
In the fish aquarium, you can observe various underwater creatures, which captivates children's attention. There is also a photo zone where you can enter an aquarium to observe fish up close. Initially, my child was scared to enter, but once inside, they didn't want to come out.
There is a 4D cinema on the second floor, but it is not operational during night visits.
We also took a picture at the outdoor observation deck photo zone. Although it was past 6 PM, the days are getting longer, allowing us to play in the light. It's a great place to visit with children.
Finally, we arrived at Jangsaengpo Culture Village, the last stop of the night extended operation at the Whale Culture District. It's a bit of a distance from the Whale Museum and Ecology Experience Center, so be sure to check the route.
This is a place where you can take a time travel. The Whale Culture Village recreates the past appearance of Jangsaengpo.
It offers new experiences for children and nostalgia for parents. If it's hot, I recommend visiting a café for a break; they have air conditioning.
There are various themes, including an old classroom, alleyways, and shops that evoke the past. Inside, you can even make dalgona (a traditional Korean candy) for a fee.
If you're unsure whether to visit on Saturday or Sunday, I recommend Saturday. The Saturday fireworks show is spectacular and worth attending just for that. You can check the fireworks show schedule on the Whale Culture District's website.
