Escape Room Fun and Wine Tasting at Boulanger Winery in Yeongdeungpo

Gamja, Joo, Jaejae, and Nini, the four of us, started with an escape room in Hongdae before visiting Boulanger Winery in Yeongdeungpo.
I wasn't that into wine before, but after tasting some delicious wine at a liquor fair last year, I've been trying different kinds. I don't exactly distinguish between them, but I'm slowly finding my preferences.
Boulanger Winery had a wide selection of wines: red, white, and sparkling.
There were oak barrels stacked on one wall. Maybe it's because of the oak barrels, but the atmosphere seemed great.
Due to the long wait time (we didn't make a reservation), we looked around and picked out the wines we wanted in advance. Gotta order quickly!
Jaejae and I went with red wine, while Gamja and Joo decided on sparkling wine. We each chose a bottle.
When it was our turn, we were shown to a table inside and ordered our wine and food.
This is the Fantini d'Abruzzo that Jaejae and I chose. I picked it because it had a body of 4, but it was a bit lighter than I expected. Still delicious though, we finished the bottle quickly!
We ordered grilled scallops and a cheese platter.
The scallops were so delicious! The salty cheese went really well with the wine too.
This is an overview shot.
One thing that was a bit disappointing was the lighting… the lighting…
It was so hard to take good pictures!!! LOL
Even so, it was a great experience to enjoy delicious food and wine until the end.
Tip: They open at 5 PM and have a 2.5-hour time limit. Unless you're going for the opening, I recommend making a reservation and going around 7:30 PM. We arrived around 6:40 PM and waited until 7:30 PM. It seemed like people were staying for the full 2.5 hours.
Another Tip: Breaking a wine glass costs 20,000 won. How do I know? I wish I didn't... LOL 'Who would break this?' I thought, then I accidentally touched a wine glass with my water bottle, and it cracked...^^ They used to charge 30,000 won, so it's a bit of relief that they lowered it to 20,000 won. (Tears) Everyone, be careful.
