Our last escape room experience of August was at,

DOO DOO Escape!

Located in the vibrant Hongdae district, we braved the weekday crowds

to enjoy an escape room adventure.

DOO DOO Escape Room

Address: 2nd Floor, 20-5, Wausan-ro 21-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Hours: Daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Located between Hapjeong and Hongdae stations,

I took exit 9 from Hongdae University Station

and arrived after about a 5-minute walk.

You can book DOO DOO Escape Room in Hongdae through Naver.

If you book through Naver Place,

you can get discount coupons for ₩8,000 / ₩20,000,

so it's a good idea to check when booking for even more affordable prices.

There are many other types of discounts such as review events and early bird discounts,

so be sure to check them out when booking!

The theme we did was Last Episode: The Finale.

It was a renewed theme, so we were full of anticipation ✨

DOO DOO has different prices for weekdays and weekends,

and you can use it at a lower price as more people are added.

I heard that the Livelihood Consumption Recovery Coupon can also be used,

so it might be a good idea to receive it in September and then visit??

They also opened a new theme called Noise!

I'm terrible at these, but I'm curious because they say it's about a 1.5 in difficulty.

DOO DOO Escape Room in Hongdae,

reached after a brisk 5-minute walk

from Exit 9 of Hongdae University Station.

You can go up the yellow stairs

or take the elevator on the right

to visit the 2nd floor.

Here is the entrance near the stairs!

Because I misread the directions,

we came by elevator.

A visually-impaired person like me

loves escape rooms^^...

As soon as we arrived, we were guided by a staff member.

Everyone in the group must complete the terms of service agreement

through the QR code on the front desk.

What surprised me when I first arrived at DOO DOO Escape Room

was the pleasant and pretty hall.

In many cases, the lobby space is not large,

so I thought a hall that was this wide, pleasant, and decorated with such sensitivity

was impactful.

The waiting area location is also attached for each theme.

Hongdae Escape Room DOO DOO uniquely has a space where you can take mirror selfies.

Excluding the mirror in the waiting area,

there are three mirrors in other directions,

so if you decorate this area with mirrors and use it as a photo zone,

you can leave unique escape room commemorative photos.

Following the staff's guidance,

change into slippers~

Store all your belongings, including electronic devices, in the locker.

You need to put your luggage in and press a four-digit password,

but I accidentally pressed the wrong button

so I asked the staff for an SOS after finishing the escape room.

Lol...????

I also liked that the locker space was large.

If it's narrow, you have to pile your luggage on top of each other,

which is subtly inconvenient when taking it out.

Drink a glass of water

and go to the bathroom,

Oh, and one of the advantages of DOO DOO that I felt was

was the large and pleasant bathroom.

Let alone the smell, it's wide and clean..!

There are so many public and narrow places,

so this point also came as a point of favor.

The difficulty level was more moderate than I thought.

I was a little worried because it was said to be 3.5,

but I unexpectedly solved it quickly,

so I guess my escape room skills have increased a bit.

I thought it would just be a sentimental theme,

but it was a moment when a little thriller was added to the sentiment?

I'm bad at horror, but since it wasn't horror,

I was able to play without being afraid.

Player's Perceived Fear Level: -

There was a fear level of 1 in the store,

but there are subtle startling noises rather than real horror.

Hint System: Hint Phone + Walkie-Talkie

It is a method in which you can use the walkie-talkie

with the app inside the hint phone.

It was refreshing to hear that you can use the walkie-talkie

if you only want to check the progress.

The staff will kindly guide you

on how to use the hint phone,

so listen carefully at that time!

I am very satisfied with the few hints I used.

There were about 2 hints that I used carelessly

without thinking properly, so I was disappointed.

When will my vision expand like crazy????

It's definitely nice because there are unlimited hints

so you can play without any mental burden.

I wouldn't have liked it if it was just sentimental,

but because there was a slight thriller added,

I had a pretty interesting time playing.

After solving all the main stories,

you can solve sub-problems,

but oh my god

I couldn't solve even one lol

I couldn't even use hints on the sub-problems,

so I just came out with a blank look.

I'm glad I finished the main story,

but I can't help but feel a little disappointed.

I didn't feel like the activity was that great,

but because there are moving sections,

I recommend wearing pants rather than a skirt to play.

The lock shape was the same,

but there were some I had never seen before, so I was like, “Oh!”

There are many rooms and many problems,

but the difficulty is not that high,

so I felt that people who are experiencing an escape room cafe for the first time

would be able to do it easily.

I'm happy because I finished the main story within a good time~~

I also took a commemorative photo at the mirror photo zone above and came out.

I recommend visiting Escape Room, DOO DOO,

a pleasant space for those who want a unique date course at a Hongdae escape room cafe. 👍
