Discovering the Unique Taehwagang Observatory

Experience a 360-degree view of Taehwagang National Garden at the unique Taehwagang Observatory.
A rotating observatory space that captures the ecological information of Taehwagang and the entire national garden.
Hello,
This is Choi Jung-won from the Ulsan Metropolitan City Blog Reporter Group.
Today, I visited the Taehwagang Observatory, located at a 360-degree rotating viewpoint where you can take in the expansive view of Taehwagang.
I often come here with my son, who loves cycling, and we make it a point to stop by whenever we visit Taehwagang.
The observatory consists of four floors, featuring not only an observatory but also a café and an exhibition hall.
From here, the landscape of Taehwagang, which we usually pass by in our cars, looks stunningly beautiful, almost unrecognizable.
Each season offers a different view, so I highly recommend visiting in summer or autumn.
Let me give you a detailed introduction!
The Taehwagang Observatory has a spacious parking lot and a beautiful view.
Before I got married, I used to come here often for dates, riding scooters around the Taehwagang National Garden.
This is where I first learned about the stunning view of the Taehwagang Bamboo Forest.
The observatory operates daily from 10 AM to 7 PM.
Upon entering, you will see the transformation of Taehwagang, which was once known as the River of Death, displayed educationally.
The information is very detailed, showcasing the beauty of Taehwagang across all four seasons.
I had the opportunity to learn more about Taehwagang through various audiovisual materials.
Often, when spending time at Taehwagang, we don’t think about the wildlife and changes in the area, but this place fills that gap.
The observatory offers a panoramic view of the entire Taehwagang, including the bridge and the bamboo forest.
Through telescopes, you can see birds up close when they fly by, which my son found fascinating.
What seems mundane to adults can be a new joy for children!
Afterward, we went down to the café. Since it was hot, we ordered drinks and relaxed.
The gray floor in the image is a fixed area, while the inner part rotates slowly, ensuring no motion sickness!
Sipping coffee while enjoying the changing scenery felt refreshing and surprisingly uplifting.
My son also enjoyed walking around and observing the moving environment.
Weekends tend to be crowded, so visiting on a weekday might allow for a more leisurely experience.
With fewer people around, bringing a laptop to watch videos or simply sitting and relaxing can be quite healing.
If you want to take in the beauty of Taehwagang, this is the place to be!
Taehwagang also hosts various events, and it’s a great spot for families to set up tents and spend time together.
It's perfect for cycling and walking, making it a frequent destination for me as well.
If you find yourself near Taehwagang, I highly recommend visiting the Taehwagang Observatory with your family.
Experience the beautiful scenery of Taehwagang from this unique 360-degree observatory!
Thank you for reading!
