Discovering the Secret Garden of Yeonam in Ulsan

In Ulsan, there's a park famous for its log bridge, which has become a popular spot for emotional photos on social media.
This urban ecological resting space features various gardens that are delightful to visit in every season.
Welcome to Yeonam Garden, a hidden urban oasis located in the Wonyeonam village of Ulsan's Buk-gu, where you can find a log bridge photo zone.
Now, if you pass the railway tracks of the Donghae line, which no longer operates, you'll arrive at Yeonam Garden.
Along this railway, the Ulsan Forest stretches north to Hogye Station, providing a great running or walking trail.
As a blogger for Ulsan City, I visited Yeonam Garden in 2023 and noticed many changes since my last visit.
The parking lot behind the restroom has been expanded to accommodate more vehicles, reaching the log bridge photo zone.
Crossing the deck bridge to Yeonam Garden, you will find a grove of mature Metasequoia trees creating a beautiful forest.
Yeonam Garden is described as a 'hidden secret forest in the city' where you can escape the hustle and bustle of urban life and enjoy a peaceful rural garden landscape.
In late April to early May, the park is adorned with the white blossoms of the Ippeun tree, resembling snow.
My main purpose for visiting Yeonam Garden was to find the log bridge photo zone. I discovered a signpost nestled between the trees in the ecological wetland.
This place is popular in summer for viewing lotus flowers, but now it has become a must-visit spot thanks to the log bridge photo zone.
The log bridge photo zone, made from ginkgo tree stumps, is perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy photos.
While I was there, local students were taking pictures, so I asked them for a quick model shot against the backdrop of the long willow leaves. The scenery was so beautiful that even a poorly taken photo would turn out lovely.
Many people visit the log bridge photo zone to take pictures, often coming with family or partners.
The log bridge at Yeonam Garden was inspired by the log bridge at Gyeongju's Millennium Forest.
While the Gyeongju bridge requires a zoom lens due to its distance between arches, Yeonam's bridge is conveniently close for easy photography.
The grass garden offers views of various flowers, including hydrangeas and bluebell flowers.
As I strolled around the garden, I noticed many themed gardens filled with interesting sights.
The ecological wetland features a bird observation deck for watching migratory birds, while the Hibiscus Hill showcases blooming hibiscus flowers in summer. The nature garden is filled with diverse flowers, making it a great place for seasonal strolls.
Finally, I climbed to the second floor of the octagonal pavilion in front of the lotus photo zone, enjoying the refreshing breeze and the panoramic view of Yeonam Garden.
After three years, I can see many changes in Yeonam Garden. With its well-maintained forests and gardens showcasing flowers throughout the seasons, it promises to be an even more exciting park in the future.
Don't miss the opportunity to capture stunning life photos at the log bridge photo zone in Ulsan's secret forest, Yeonam Garden.
