When you think of cherry blossom spots in Ulsan, places like Gunggeorang, Jangcheonjeong, and Jeongja Old Road come to mind.
Today, however, I will introduce a hidden cherry blossom spot where you can enjoy a quieter experience.
Welcome to the Cherry Blossom Tunnel in Chari Village, located in Ulsan's Uljin County.
Location: 1062-25 Guryang-ri, Duseo-myeon, Ulsan, South Korea
As you enter Chari Village, you are greeted by the phrase, "Chari Village, where Gohamsan and cherry blossoms create a spectacular view."
This is exactly the case.
Along a 1.5 km stretch on National Route 20, cherry blossom trees are densely planted on both sides, creating a perfect cherry blossom tunnel.
What makes this place even more special is that this cherry blossom path was not created for tourism but was planted and maintained by the local residents themselves.
With trees that have been cared for over 25 years, the abundance and atmosphere here are truly unique.
It's a great spot for both a driving route and a walking trail, harmonizing with the serene rural landscape.
Nearby, you can also see the ginkgo tree, a natural monument, in Jungri Village, so be sure to check that out as well.

As of March 28, the cherry blossoms have just started to bloom.
The buds are beginning to burst open, and rapid blooming is expected to begin this week.
This weekend is predicted to be the peak, coinciding with the festival period when the blossoms will be nearly in full bloom.
Due to the nature of cherry blossoms, once they start blooming, they fully open within a week, making this weekend the ideal time to visit.
Chari Village holds a festival every year in line with the cherry blossom blooming season.

There is a livestock shed near the entrance, so there might be a slight smell at first, but it disappears quickly.
Taking photos in the middle of the road is a key point.
Traffic is light, making it a good spot for photography, but be sure to ensure safety before taking pictures!
At night, thanks to the lights, you can capture a completely different emotional vibe in your photos.
The Cherry Blossom Path in Chari Village is not just a "path with cherry blossoms"; it's a fully covered tunnel of cherry blossoms.

If you time it right, you might witness a scene known as "cherry blossom rain."
When a gentle breeze blows, petals fall from the trees like snowflakes, creating a cinematic moment.
Especially from the middle of the road, you can see blossoms in front and behind you, with petals falling from above.
This is much more beautiful captured on video than in photos.
The Cherry Blossom Path in Chari Village is enjoyable whether you walk or drive slowly through it.
By slowing down and rolling down the windows, you can experience the blossoms brushing past you on both sides while petals fall from above, leading into an endless cherry blossom tunnel ahead.
This feeling is exactly like "passing through spring." It’s no wonder people return to visit again.
After walking a little, you'll be greeted by the bright yellow forsythia flowers.
Magnolias are also nestled among the cherry blossoms, adding to the richness of the spring scenery.
While there are many cherry blossom spots in Ulsan, not many offer the tranquility that Chari Village does.
