Have you ever stumbled upon a place unexpectedly while traveling? For me, this was one of those moments. The fields were sprouting with green shoots, and the sky was painted with a deep sunset, creating an extraordinary beauty!
I took a stroll through Masan Village and the scenic countryside path. Charming murals and quaint little houses evoked a sense of nostalgia throughout my walk. Let me share the moments I experienced firsthand.
This village, resembling a parched horse, is nestled against Galmasan Mountain. It has undergone a creative village development project, featuring an experiential yard, Galmasan forest trail, and scenic countryside path. This small village is known for its interesting stories, like Galmajeong, which never runs dry even in drought.
We parked near the village bus stop heading to Guhe and Buchon and decided to walk slowly. The evenings in the rural countryside were filled with tranquility as the day's work came to an end.
I discovered an intriguing house that looked like a watermelon at first glance. In fact, Masan Village is known as a major watermelon-producing area in Haman. Among them, Daesan watermelon is particularly famous due to the fertile land and abundant water supply, making it ideal for cultivation.
Following the alleyway, you can reach Galmasan. A legend tells of a mountain spirit leaving behind the mountain it carried, and at 106 meters above sea level, it's a relatively low mountain that can be visited for a light hike.
Murals are painted wherever you walk. Although they seem to have been there for a while, they are well-maintained, and the colors are vibrant, making the walking path anything but dull.
With the MBTI trend still going strong, I impulsively visited this place without a specific plan. Since it wasn't a well-known spot, a bit of luck was required. As I passed through an ordinary path, I found myself at the highlight of this journey.
My narrowed view began to widen, revealing beautiful landscapes! The sunset-colored sky, the rainbow-painted barriers, and the green fields with sprouting shoots harmonized beautifully.
As I considered venturing deeper, I was surprised once again for an unexpected reason.
There was a lovely cat with beautiful white fur! It didn't seem afraid of me and stayed still, eventually locking eyes with me. I felt a bit guilty for possibly making it uncomfortable with my unfamiliar presence.
From the scenic countryside path to the Daesa Stream trail and Galmasan walking trail! In Masan Village, I witnessed various efforts to make the village safe and beautiful. It truly feels like a place where people live.
The rainbow-painted barriers blend perfectly with the surroundings. The water reflecting the sunset is also stunning, and it seems that the word "beauty" lingers in every corner of the village.
With the charming ambiance of the village and the beautiful scenery, the sunset and views from Masan Village will remain memorable. If you visit during sunset, you'll experience a special moment. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
