Discovering the Beauty of Ulsan Grand Park Rose Garden in Spring

Experience the Essence of Spring at Ulsan Grand Park
A Visit to the Ulsan Grand Park Rose Garden
Hi, I am Jeong-won Choi, a member of the Ulsan Metropolitan City Blog Reporter Team.
As May 2026 approaches, the weather is warming up, marking the arrival of spring.
Ulsan Grand Park has been a special place for me since childhood, even without any specific events.
Among its attractions, the Rose Garden is a perfect spot to truly enjoy the fragrance of flowers, which is why I visit often, regardless of the season.
Even outside the May Rose Festival, you can see roses in full bloom until mid-June.
These days, with the weather warming up, I noticed some roses blooming even by late April.
Today, I want to share my thoughts on the beauty of the roses, aside from the festival. This is a great place for families to visit!
Located at the South Gate of Ulsan Grand Park, the Rose Garden is easily accessible.
The park has multiple entrances, including the main gate where the roller skating rink and windmill are located, and the south gate that leads to the Rose Garden and ecological travel center.
Both entrances have large parking areas, making it very convenient to park your vehicle.
As you enter, the Rose Garden is immediately visible.
The facilities are well-maintained and clean, making it an excellent destination for family outings!

I visited on a weekday, and it was surprisingly crowded.
The colorful roses were in full bloom, showcasing their beauty.
With the right sunlight, the roses looked vibrant, likely due to the recent lack of rain.
The weather was pleasantly warm, making it a great time for sightseeing.
Even outside the festival period, I often spend time here.
I particularly love red roses not only for their visual appeal but also for their symbolism.
Red roses represent passionate love, while white roses symbolize purity and yellow roses represent friendship and eternal love.
The harmonious colors of the roses allowed me to appreciate the beauty of nature.
The Rose Garden showcases about 3 million roses, and one of the reasons I enjoy this festival is the generous operating hours.
The festival runs from 9:30 AM to 10 PM, which is great for those of us who work until evening.
There are benches throughout the garden, perfect for resting while enjoying the beautiful roses.
Sitting quietly and admiring the roses can help alleviate the stresses of daily life.
The spaciousness of the garden means that even if it gets crowded, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy and take photos.
With various themed areas like Cupid's Garden and Venus Garden, there’s a lot to see and capture in photos.
If you want to truly experience spring, head to the Ulsan Grand Park Rose Garden!
Even if you miss the festival, visiting before or after can still provide a wonderful experience with the roses.
During the festival, the bloom rate is about 50%, so visiting from late May to early June might be ideal for seeing them at their best.
Less crowded and more satisfying, I highly recommend it!
