Discovering Ilsan Beach: A Summer Paradise in Ulsan

Ilsan Beach, the representative beach of Ulsan, has officially welcomed the summer season.
With music playing from the speakers and a large number of visitors gathering on the sandy shore, the summer atmosphere was palpable.
Character friends representing Dong-gu greet visitors at the entrance, symbolizing tourism, culture, and history.
Each district in Ulsan has its own character friends, and taking a photo with them will surely make your time in Dong-gu more memorable.
Ilsan Beach is located in Dong-gu, Ulsan, and is open from July 1 to August 31.
The beach is equipped with amenities such as showers and restrooms, and safety personnel are stationed during the operating hours.
Shower fees are as follows:
- Children aged 7 to 12: 500 won
- Age 13 to 64: 1,000 won
- Children under 7 and seniors over 65: Free
Close to Daewangam Park, it’s a great spot for a combined visit, with well-maintained walking paths along the beach and surrounding commercial areas, making it quite popular.
Even if you don't swim, you can enjoy the summer scenery. At night, the sea breeze flows in, and the lights along the beach create a unique summer night ambiance.
Curious about the seawater, I approached and found it clear and refreshing.
As soon as I took off my shoes and stepped onto the sandy shore, the essence of summer hit me. I even dipped my feet in the water while listening to the crashing waves.
This place was fully immersed in summer vibes, with playful screams and jet skis creating waves in the distance. While I usually prefer valleys, the distinct colors and atmosphere of the sea made me consider visiting the beach this year.
There are free faucets and outdoor showers available. Even if you just stop by for a moment, I recommend wetting your feet in the water.
On the beach, you will find large tents available for rent, including mats, tables, and umbrellas. The rental prices range from 10,000 to 20,000 won for three hours, and additional items like tubes and life jackets are also available for rent.
Having an umbrella during the peak sun hours would definitely enhance your relaxation time.
A free paddle boat experience class is also available, which can be reserved through Crazy Surfers Ulsan, with on-site registration offered as well.
In the distance, you can see the mountains, which are part of Daewangam Park, a walkable distance away.
The long sandy beach is a fantastic spot for swimming and leisure activities.
If you are looking for a refreshing sea experience this summer, I highly recommend visiting Ilsan Beach. It's truly a great place to enjoy your summer vacation.
