Complete Guide to the 2026 Ulsan Rose Festival

Welcome! This is Kim Jong-hee from the Ulsan Nuri Blog!
In May, I bring you the hottest festival news from Ulsan!
Despite concerns about cloudy weather, the 2026 Ulsan Rose Festival took place successfully under clear skies. Here are essential tips to know before your visit!
1. 2026 Ulsan Rose Festival
Festival Dates: May 20 - May 25, 2026
Location: Ulsan Rose Garden and South Gate SK Plaza
The Rose Festival, which started in 2006, is now in its 18th year, representing Ulsan's spring festivities. The Ulsan Rose Garden is known as the largest rose-themed park in Korea, attracting both local and international visitors.
With a backdrop of colorful roses in full bloom, more people are visiting each year to capture beautiful photos.
I entered at 9:30 AM and found many people already waiting at the ticket booth. Fortunately, there was also a temporary ticket booth to help reduce waiting times.
This year, the festival is tech-savvy! By using the Rose App, visitors can enjoy a more convenient experience. Scanning QR codes located throughout the venue with your smartphone will provide detailed information.
There is a comprehensive information center on-site, and two emergency medical centers are available just in case. Temporary restrooms are located within the Rose Garden, and there is a ramp for strollers and wheelchair users to the left of the entrance.
2. Admission Fees and Operating Hours
Did you know that one ticket grants you access to both the Rose Garden and the zoo? The zoo is connected to the Rose Garden, making it perfect for a full day of family or couple activities.

4. Flea Market & Food Truck Zone
What’s a festival without food? Around the Rose Garden, there are charming flea markets with handmade crafts, accessories, and character goods, along with a variety of food trucks to satisfy your cravings.
You can enjoy flowers, performances, and delicious food all in one place. Large tables and chairs are set up in the South Gate Plaza. Some visitors even brought snacks to enjoy a picnic while flower viewing!
5. Various Photo Zones
This year, there are more photo zones decorated with various roses than ever before. Many visitors were happily taking photos against the beautiful floral backdrop.
6. Professional Equipment Restrictions
To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, there are restrictions on professional photography equipment around the main stage.
* Restricted Area: Rose Valley Concert Area
* Restricted Items: Tripods, DSLRs, camcorders, etc.
Outside the main stage, there are no restrictions, and light photography with smartphones is encouraged. Enjoy the festival with just your hands free!
How about creating beautiful memories with your loved ones in the fragrant Ulsan Grand Park? The festival may be over, but the roses continue to bloom beautifully.
