Escape from the city to a serene cherry blossom path beside a reservoir.

April is a season filled with excitement as spring flowers bloom. I would like to introduce the Guui Cherry Blossom Path, known as a cherry blossom hotspot near Jeonju. Upon entering from the Guui Agricultural Cooperative, you will find a parking lot. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were plenty of parking spaces available.

The Guui Reservoir Trail consists of three sections. While the reservoir trail is worth exploring, today we will focus solely on the cherry blossom path. You can complete the cherry blossom route in about 20 minutes.

◆ Section 1: Scenic Bridge ⟷ Alcohol Theme Park
* Total Length: 3.3km
* Estimated Time: Approximately 66 minutes

◆ Section 2: Alcohol Theme Park ⟷ Mangsan Village (Crosswalk Bridge)
* Total Length: 2.4km
* Estimated Time: Approximately 53 minutes

◆ Section 3: Mangsan Village (Crosswalk Bridge) ⟷ Guui Administrative Welfare Center
* Total Length: 3.2km
* Estimated Time: Approximately 55 minutes

As you walk a bit, the bright yellow forsythia captures your attention. I was surprised at how tall the forsythia had grown. You can see the cherry blossom path now, which is currently over 80% in bloom.

Crossing the bridge leads you to the cherry blossom path and the road that goes up to the reservoir.

Entering the cherry blossom path, you can see forsythia and cherry blossoms. The path is just a dirt trail, so wearing sneakers would be comfortable. When I first discovered this hidden gem a few years ago, it wasn’t very well known, but now it has become a recognized cherry blossom destination near Jeonju. A banner announcing the festival period starting April 2 was visible, but the area remained peaceful, making it perfect for enjoying the cherry blossoms.

The combination of the blue sky and cherry blossoms is truly magical. The moment when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom and the petals flutter down is incredibly beautiful and will soon be witnessed.

Cherry trees over 50 years old harmonize beautifully with the yellow forsythia. The Guui Reservoir Cherry Blossom Path is just about 15 minutes from Jeonju, making it an ideal weekend outing.

During the cherry blossom festival, food stalls are available. You can find dishes like Janchi Guksu (traditional noodles) for 5,000 won, pajeon (Korean pancake), acorn jelly salad, kimchi stew, coffee, and drinks. There are restrooms located at the back.

Next to the food stalls, there are stairs that lead up to the reservoir path.

On the reservoir side, the cherry blossoms have not fully bloomed yet. They should be in full bloom by the weekend, right? There are large tree shades here, providing a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

There are also exercise facilities for citizens, perfect for a light workout.

Looking back at the cherry blossom path from above reveals another charm. With Mount Moak in the background, the sight of the grand cherry blossoms and yellow forsythia makes you exclaim how beautiful it is throughout your walk. The cherry blossom path offers shade from the sun, but it can be intense above, so hats and sunscreen are essential.

The real-time blooming of the Guui Reservoir cherry blossom path brings a sense of tranquility as you walk peacefully among the lush blossoms.

Wildflowers are also starting to bloom, adding subtle beauty to the landscape.

Take a moment to sit on a bench, enjoying the view of the water and cherry blossoms. This spot also makes for a great photo zone against the cherry blossom backdrop.

Many people are trying to capture the beauty of the cherry blossoms. I was drawn to the atmosphere and took some photos as well. The reservoir scenery is tranquil and serene, creating a sense of peace as you gaze at it.

Why not visit the Guui Reservoir Cherry Blossom Path, a beautiful spot to enjoy the cherry blossoms and the stunning natural surroundings?

Also, take a short drive of about 2 minutes to visit Mount Moak, which is nearby.

Here is the view of the cherry blossoms at Mount Moak. They are likely to be in full bloom during the weekend, and there are lovely cafes and restaurants nearby, making it a perfect weekend getaway.

April, filled with the excitement of cherry blossoms, is a great time to plan a spring outing to the Guui Reservoir Trail and Mount Moak.
