Discover the magic of Cheonjiyeon Falls in Seogwipo, Jeju, especially during its nighttime opening and in conjunction with the 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival.

The 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival's summer season is underway, with performances taking place across Jeju Island. Several venues, including the outdoor stage at Cheonjiyeon Falls, offer free admission, making them popular destinations for many.

Dreamlike Moment

Of course, you'll still need a ticket to enter Cheonjiyeon Falls. After passing the large, free parking lot, you'll find ticket vending machines at the entrance.

Admission Fees:

Adults (25+): ₩2,000

Children (7-12): ₩1,000

Teenagers (13-24): ₩1,000

Jeju residents enjoy free admission, so don't forget your ID!

This time, I visited during the night opening to see the 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, so I didn't have time for a guided tour. However, I personally recommend taking one if you have the chance.

Cheonjiyeon Falls Cultural Tourism Guide Information:

Hours: Daily, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

If you'd like a cultural tourism guide for Cheonjiyeon Falls, apply at the Seogwipo Information Center, located 20m to the left of the ticket booth, for a free tour and information.

Touching Scene

Cheonjiyeon Falls is open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with last admission at 9:20 PM. Please keep this in mind when planning your visit.

Actually, the main reason for my visit was to attend the 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival. The 'Cheonjiyeon's Echo, Wind Music Day' was successfully held at the Cheonjiyeon outdoor stage on August 12th and 13th.

After passing through the entrance, cross the stone bridge on the left to reach the outdoor stage.

The performance had already begun, and the audience was gradually filling the seats.

The 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, 'Island, Wind, Voice: Thirtieth Echo,' featured the following wind orchestras on August 12th and 13th for 'Cheonjiyeon's Echo, Wind Music Day':

Cheonjiyeon's Echo, Wind Music Day III

Korea Australia Joint Wind Orchestra / Australia (Conductors: Jang Jin-won, Garry Clarke)

Kasetsart University Laboratory School Symphonic Band / Thailand (Conductor: Wisanu Hotai)

National Taiwan Normal University Alumni Wind Band / Taiwan (Conductor: Yesuhan)

Gosan Fishing Village Chagwido Haenyeo Sori Preservation Society / Republic of Korea

Beautiful Scenery

The 'Cheonjiyeon's Echo, Wind Music Day III' performance allows you to immerse yourself in beautiful melodies alongside the sound of the Yeonoecheon waterfall cascading down on a summer night.

While the main purpose of the day was the 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, it was also nice to cool off while watching Cheonjiyeon Falls at night. Cheonjiyeon Falls is a representative Jeju Island waterfall that should not be missed when visiting Seogwipo, Jeju.

The path splits into two; the left is the exit, and the right is the entrance.

Visiting at night is great for escaping the heat, but the downside is that there are limitations in appreciating the surrounding scenery of Yeonoecheon. I recommend visiting during the day after the heat subsides to enjoy the landscape.

Unlike other natural heritage sites where restrooms are only available at the entrance, Cheonjiyeon Falls has restrooms in the middle, making it convenient to use.

The distance from the entrance to the waterfall is not far, and the path is flat and well-paved, making it accessible for the elderly and those with mobility issues. Like the nearby Jeongbang Falls, it's close to the sea, but a stream creates some distance from the ocean.

Dreamlike Moment

Cheonjiyeon Falls always maintains a consistent flow of water, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular waterfall at any time. In contrast, Cheonjeyeon 1st Falls, located in Jungmun, Seogwipo, often doesn't have water flowing depending on the amount of rainfall.

The name 'Cheonjiyeon' means 'a pond formed where the sky and the earth meet.'

Visiting Cheonjiyeon Falls in Seogwipo, Jeju, during its nighttime opening is a great way to cool off while enjoying the 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival.

Occasionally, when the water volume is high, the waterfall spray can reach the photo spot, as shown in the pictures.

Therefore, the overall humidity is quite high, and the path is slippery, so always be aware of safety.

After temporarily forgetting the heat with the cool waterfall, I returned to the Seogwipo Cheonjiyeon outdoor stage to forget the heat with beautiful melodies.

Following this performance, the Seogwipo Cheonjiyeon Summer Music Festival will continue at the Seogwipo Cheonjiyeon outdoor stage.

The 'Night of Vocal Music' and 'Night of Wind Music' are scheduled to be held on August 22nd and 23rd (Friday and Saturday) at 8:00 PM, so you can look forward to it.

This was a visit to Cheonjiyeon Falls in Seogwipo, Jeju, during its nighttime opening, and the outdoor stage where the 2025 Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival was held.
