August 19th is my birthday! ๐ŸŽ‰

Since it was the Liberation Day holiday from the 15th, I had a great time with family and friends.

The Lotte Mall in Jamsil is always crowded on weekends, so I made a lunch reservation in advance at <Cheese Room & Tasting Room>.

Our order included:

โœ”๏ธ Sundried Tomato Flatbread

โœ”๏ธ Honey Anchovy Arrabbiata

โœ”๏ธ Abalone Risotto in a Stone Pot

ํ™”๋ คํ•œ ์žฅ๋ฉด

Honestly, the risotto was not great, but the other two dishes were delicious. But a can of coke was 5000 won...lol. Three dishes + three drinks came out to about 100,000 won.

Next door, at Museum 209, I visited an exhibition with friends.

Elizabeth Langreiter: Every Day is a Holiday

- Exhibition Dates: 2025.5.1 - 9.28

- Location: Jamsil Museum 209 (3rd floor, Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel, 209 Jamsil-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul)

- Hours: Tue-Sun 10:00 - 19:00 (Closed Mondays / Last admission and ticket purchase at 18:00)

- Admission: Adults 18,000 won, Children 15,000 won

Shall we go in?

Here's a greeting you see upon entering:

ํ™”๋ คํ•œ ์žฅ๋ฉด

"'Joy' is not just a fleeting emotion, but the will and choice to discover beauty in everyday life and not let go of the light even when the world feels heavy."

Lots of canvases with this acrylic texture!

Many of the works have a strong ocean vibe.

There are also winter-themed pieces, and spring-themed ones.

After this mirror zone, it's over...

The exhibition was smaller than I expected, and there weren't many goods to buy. It's a bit pricey for 18,000 won...

Back to Lotte Mall, I got a Pochacco t-shirt from Uniqlo.

There were 155 teams waiting to make it myself~~

While looking for a cafe, we had a birthday party at Kim's Deli Market, famous for its tomato bagels.

ํ–‰๋ณตํ•œ ์‹œ๊ฐ„

We make candles every year, lol.

They're also famous for peach bingsu, but we gave up because they said we'd have to wait two hours due to it being sold out.

A friend recommended a croissant place.

They limit croissant sales to 5 per person, so I bought 3 croissants and a chocolate thing. It tastes like Ferrero Rocher. I should have bought two...

All four were gone the very next day, haha. The next day, I cleaned up my room, went to Unjeong Busan Restaurant, ate cake, and finished it off~~

It was so nice to have a holiday before my birthday! โ‰ฝ^โ€ข ห• โ€ข เพ€เฝฒโ‰ผ

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea โ€” not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories โ€” from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes โ€” written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content โ€” blog summaries, local guides, user comments โ€” is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal โ€” itโ€™s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations โ€” creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Koreaโ€™s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
