I went to Sejong for some business, and I had quite a bit of time to spare after my appointment.

About an hour and a half, maybe?

I had already had my coffee, so I was wondering what to do.

Then I decided to visit the Van Gogh exhibition at the National Sejong Arboretum, which I had wanted to see for a while!

The exhibition at the National Sejong Arboretum usually closes at 6 PM, but since it was summer, they were having a night opening.

The entrance fee is 5,000 won, but with the night opening, it was 50% off, making it only 2,500 won!

Plus, national veterans, Sejong citizens, and multicultural families also get a 50% discount, and national veterans and veterans of independence can enter for free.

Since the sun is so strong these days, they even had these cute paper sun visors.

You can grab one when you enter, and there are also paper sun visors in the Four Seasons Greenhouse on the left after you enter, so don't worry if you miss it at first!

The Van Gogh exhibition is held only in the Four Seasons Greenhouse, which is located to the left after you enter, not in the entire National Sejong Arboretum.

Inside the Four Seasons Greenhouse, you can view the Van Gogh special exhibition in the Tropical Greenhouse.

The National Sejong Arboretum is so large that I couldn't see the entire thing, and since I didn't have much time, I only looked around the greenhouse.

Still, I was satisfied because of the low admission fee!

The first thing I saw when I entered was Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

To help you understand which painting it was, they had Van Gogh's artwork displayed right next to it, along with a brief explanation.

It was refreshing to indirectly feel Van Gogh's perspective, thinking, 'Ah, he painted after looking at these sculptures.'

I could feel that the arboretum displayed flowers as close as possible to Van Gogh's works.

In the painting, flowers are hanging down on both sides, and it felt like they recreated that!

Also, there were art tools like brushes, so it felt like I was at the scene where the artwork was created.

Here's his famous work, Bedroom in Arles.

The furniture and flowers are real objects, but the wallpaper recreated the brushstrokes in Van Gogh's painting, making it fun and surreal.

There was even a photo zone set up so you could take pictures in the same composition as the painting!

And there was another photo zone outside the room.

I don't really like being photographed, and today my only goal was to look around, so I skipped the photos!

The one I wanted to see the most was The Starry Night!

It would have been better if it was a little darker around it, but it was still great.

The blue background is very attractive in The Starry Night.

So, to capture that atmosphere, the actual flowing water was slightly blue!

Can you see the water color better like this?

It's prettier in person, but it's a shame that I couldn't capture it in the pictures ㅠㅠ

I was expecting a large scale exhibition, but I was disappointed by the somewhat small scale.

Still, the National Sejong Arboretum is huge, and the Four Seasons Greenhouse alone has about 3-4 themes inside, so it takes quite a bit of time to look around.

There are trees that look like water bottles, and there are plants that are hard to see normally, so you can enjoy looking around even without a plan.

Next time, I'm thinking of applying for a guided tour.

But only when I have plenty of time!

It would be great to visit with children, because there's even a dinosaur exhibit like this.

This one moves ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I heard that there might be snakes in the greenhouse because it's humid and there are many plants (!)

I was scared when I entered, and then I was surprised when I saw that dinosaur movingㅋㅋㅋ

It's interesting to see plants I've never seen before, but it's more fun to see the plants I already know.

That's a coffee tree!

The green fruit is a coffee bean, and I've only seen pictures of it at cafes, so it was amazing to see it in person like that.

Bananas that you must find in the tropical greenhouse.

I've only seen green bananas like that in the greenhouse, so I wonder if they ripen?

And the cocoa was so funny.

Is cocoa difficult to grow?

They hung a model separately to show people the fruitㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Can you see that fishing line?

I think they might have hung the model to explain it to the children.

While visiting the National Sejong Arboretum, I kept thinking that this is a really great place to come with children.

The theme in the central greenhouse is constantly changing, and this day's theme was sweet desserts!

As expected, Sejong is a great place to raise children.

But actually, adults like this too.....

I actually wanted to take more pictures and see more places, but that was the best I could do after entering with only 10% battery left on my camera.

Now I have no more pictures 흑흑

When you have about an hour to spare, it's the perfect amount of time to look around this greenhouse and the gift shop!

I think you can see the entire arboretum if you come after lunch and look around for a long time.

It's getting cooler now compared to the summer, so if you have business in Sejong, try visiting!

I recommend it because the night opening is so pretty!
