A Taste of Yangju: Delicious Galbitang and a Trendy Cafe Experience

Hello, SNS Supporters!
With the weather getting chilly and feeling a bit drained, I decided to visit Yangju's Haneul Myeonok Hamheung Naengmyeon Galbitang restaurant for a warm and hearty meal.
Afterward, I'll share my experience at Moore Coffee, a new cafe with a great atmosphere.
Haneul Myeonok Hamheung Naengmyeon Galbitang
Address: 43, Mansong-ro 259beon-gil, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Building N, 1st Floor
Hours: 11:00 - 21:00
Closed: Mondays
Parking
Haneul Myeonok has a spacious parking lot in front of the store, making parking easy and convenient.
Exterior
The restaurant is located on the first floor and is quite large. The atmosphere is great for families and for bringing elderly guests. The seating is spaced generously, making it comfortable to enjoy your meal.
Menu
The menu mainly features Galbitang (short rib soup) and Naengmyeon (cold noodles), along with dumplings and Bulgogi.
Today, I decided to order the hot Galbitang to revitalize myself!
Side Dishes
As soon as I sat down, I was served warm broth in a kettle. From the first sip, the deep and rich flavor spread through me, relieving my fatigue.
The side dishes included Kkakdugi (radish kimchi), seasoned bean sprouts, Yeolmu Kimchi (young radish kimchi), and black sesame lotus root salad. All the side dishes are 100% handmade by the owner, fresh, and to my taste.
The Galbitang, which came out shortly after, was very generous in portion size. Before visiting, I checked visitor and blog reviews, and many mentioned the large portions, which turned out to be true.
The meat was especially tender, falling apart easily. It also contained jujubes and ginseng, giving it a healthy boost.
The owner even came to our table to cut the ribs into bite-sized pieces and suggested dipping them in soy sauce for enhanced flavor.
The owner and staff were so friendly, I hope the restaurant thrives!
As the owner suggested, I dipped the meat in soy sauce. The meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth, with no unpleasant odors.
After finishing my meal, I noticed Sikhye (sweet rice drink) available near the entrance. A cup of sweet Sikhye was the perfect ending to the meal.
I will definitely visit again when I crave Galbitang. And when the weather gets warmer, I'll be back for Naengmyeon! A 100% revisit guaranteed!
Moore Coffee

Hours: 11:00 - 22:00
Features: Takeout, pet-friendly, group seating, Wi-Fi, reservations, delivery, easy payment, parking
Parking
Moore Coffee, a pet-friendly cafe in Yangju, is located in the Eomsang-dong food alley.
You can park in the Eomsang-dong public parking lot or in front of the store. I had to circle around once because there were no parking spaces.
Exterior
The first thing that catches your eye at the entrance of Moore Coffee is a large bear doll photo zone.
With its trendy and hip vibe, it felt like a cafe in Seongsu-dong. I was happy to find a cafe with this kind of atmosphere in Yangju.
Menu
They sell coffee, non-coffee drinks, tea, ades, signature coffee, smoothies, and shakes.
The prices range from 4,000 to 6,000 won, making it a reasonably priced cafe considering the current coffee shop prices.
Since it was evening, I ordered a warm cup of peppermint tea.
Desserts
Moore Coffee had a variety of desserts on display. It seemed like many of the pastries were already gone since it was evening.
Moore Coffee is currently offering a free scone coupon on Naver since it recently opened. Be sure to visit before the coupon disappears! I got a free scone with my visit.
Interior
The gray and black interior was really attractive.
The overall tone is chic, but the stylish accessories placed throughout the space created a sophisticated mood.
Inside, there was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, creating a festive atmosphere as soon as you entered the cafe.
The softly shining lights made me feel relaxed as I looked at the tree while drinking my coffee.
With comfortable sofa seating, it was a great pet-friendly cafe to visit with my dog.
There was also a full-length mirror, perfect for taking pictures. It would be great for capturing memories with your pet.
I ordered a Nunetine scone and peppermint tea.
The Nunetine scone had the signature savory and sweet Nunetine flavor, which I really liked.
The refreshing scent of the peppermint tea cleansed my palate, making it a surprisingly good combination with the scone. Drinking it in the cafe with the Christmas tree made me feel cozy and relaxed.
The owner was also friendly, and it's one of the few cafes in Yangju with a great atmosphere, so I plan to revisit. Next time, I'll have to try their signature coffee!
Thank you.
