In Ulsan, there is a special space where youth can nurture their dreams through culture and art, and relax at any time.

This is the Ulsan Metropolitan City Student Education and Cultural Center located in Jung-gu, Ulsan.

This wonderful hideout is open not only to teenagers but to all citizens, and we will now introduce its various corners.

Operating Information

✔️ Eligibility

Available for all educational families.

✔️ Closed Days

Every Monday and public holidays.

✔️ Operating Hours

Tuesday to Sunday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Wednesday and Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)

The Ulsan Student Education and Cultural Center boasts a grand and modern exterior, serving as a multi-cultural space where youth can develop their artistic sensibilities and engage in diverse experiences.

Upon entering the first floor, you will find a cafeteria on the right side.

The neatly arranged cafeteria is a place where visitors can comfortably chat and take a break. One side of the cafeteria features a stage, occasionally used for small performances and free artistic activities.

Currently, a solo exhibition by artist Seo Eun-hye (formerly Jeong Eun-hye) is taking place on the first floor. It started on March 25 and will run until May 27.

Seo Eun-hye's portraits connect the themes of 'relationship' and 'respect'. This exhibition conveys the perspective of seeing things as they are and the emotional healing power of art through the artist's life and works.

Exiting the exhibition hall, there is an experience zone for Seo Eun-hye's exhibition towards the Soho Gallery.

The stairs leading to the second floor are adorned with a cozy atmosphere, creating an ideal space for reading books, allowing visitors to enjoy leisurely reading.

One of the key facilities on the second floor is the 'Dokdo Experience Center'.

This space is well-structured with visual materials and educational content to vividly learn about the history and natural environment of Dokdo, making it a very beneficial place to visit with children.

Here, visitors can experience the 1,500-year history of Dokdo, participate in quizzes about Dokdo, and enjoy immersive video experiences.

There is also a comic book room available for students, staff, and preschool children accompanied by guardians.

✔️ Usage Hours

Tuesday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Weekends and holidays: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Upon entry, visitors will record their visit time, name, and exit time. The comic book room, stocked with a variety of comics, is a popular space where youth can forget academic stress and freely enjoy cultural leisure.

The center also has a performance hall where cultural and artistic performances can be enjoyed. The neatly organized ticket box and entrance are always ready to welcome audiences to a wonderful stage.

The digital experience hall offers future-oriented experiences aligned with the latest trends.

Throughout the center, there are comfortable resting areas where visitors can take pleasant breaks while using the facilities.

There is even a soundproof karaoke room where friends can relieve stress healthily, which has received high satisfaction from youth.

The karaoke room usage time is 30 minutes, and visitors can use it freely while leaving a record of their visit.

The Ulsan Student Education and Cultural Center not only provides space rental but also actively supports youth-led autonomous activities such as the 'Blue Jeans Planning Group', helping youth to plan and participate in cultural and artistic events.

Additionally, various high-quality cultural and artistic education programs on diverse themes are actively being conducted at the center.

The one-day cultural and artistic experience classroom program is running until November 2026, and groups or individuals from elementary (grades 5 and 6), middle, high, and special schools (grade 5 and above) can apply, so please refer to the website.

The Ulsan Student Education and Cultural Center has been a perfect hideout supporting youth's dreams and arts, providing exhibitions, performances, education, and comfortable relaxation.

How about visiting with your children this upcoming weekend?
