A Perfect Family Outing: Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum in Pohang

Looking for a great place for a family outing?
Consider the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum in Pohang!
While the peak foliage season might be mostly over,
the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum is still a fantastic place
to soak in the unique atmosphere of late autumn!
It's a wonderful spot to take a leisurely stroll with your family in the sunshine,
and there's plenty of space for children to run and play.
That's why we visited this past weekend.

The walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum
wasn't far at all, and we arrived quickly.
Before exploring the arboretum itself,
we decided to visit the observation deck first.
The path leading up to the observation deck
is made of wooden steps,
making for a comfortable climb.
After just about 15 minutes,
you'll reach the observation deck pavilion.
This is the view after climbing for about 15 minutes
from the entrance of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum.
You can even see Wolpo Beach and Homigot in the distance!
I thought the fall foliage was all gone,
but there were still colorful and beautiful leaves
that pleased the eye.
There's also a photo zone
where you can take commemorative photos
with this wonderful scenery as a backdrop,
which was great for capturing memories.
The air is fresh, and the sunlight is lovely,
allowing you to fully enjoy the atmosphere of late autumn.
The path we took to get there was also spectacular.
While the inside of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum
is beautiful, the panoramic view from above
offers a different kind of charm.
If you visit the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum,
I highly recommend visiting the observation deck.
After leaving the observation deck,
we wandered around as we pleased.
The arboretum is quite large,
so we needed to look at the map to get around.
The sunlight streamed through the trees,
and it was wonderful to enjoy a picnic with our family
in the warm breeze.
There were many gardens decorated with various themes,
which made me wish we had come a little earlier.
There are also many wide-open spaces,
so children can run around, and adults can relax
in the sunshine.
There were also cute character sculptures,
which the children especially loved!
Near the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum,
there is also a children's playground
and a Soriwon (sound garden) where you can freely unleash your imagination in nature.
In addition,
there is a small exhibition greenhouse
within the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum,
which was nice for a quick look.
I had a very enjoyable weekend
with my family at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum.
It was a time to fully enjoy
the atmosphere and leisure of late autumn!
I hope you'll visit and have a healing experience~
