A Pawsome Day at Meongsoop Dog Park in Ganghwa Island

Hello, I'm Shuri's dad!
Ganghwa Island is a beloved destination for weekend getaways and overnight trips, boasting a beautiful combination of the sea, mountains, and diverse attractions.
Especially when you're traveling with your furry friend, simply visiting tourist spots might not be enough, right? You definitely need a space where they can run and play to their heart's content.
This time, Shuri and I visited 'Meongsoop Dog Park Meong 3,' located at the entrance of Ganghwa Island. Its proximity to attractions like Okto끼 Space Center, Jeondeungsa Temple, and Dongmak Beach made it perfect to include in our itinerary.
Today, I'll share information about Meongsoop Meong 3, a dog park near Jeondeungsa Temple in Ganghwa Island, and my experience from a 2-hour visit with Shuri.
Meongsoop Information
Meongsoop Dog Park is located at 576-2 Jungang-ro, Bureun-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon.
It's situated between Anyang University's campus and TN Rim Forest.
Meongsoop in Ganghwa is located near the entrance to Ganghwa Island, making it easy to stop by before embarking on your main travel itinerary to places like Okto끼 Space Center and Dongmak Beach.
The operating hours are from 9 AM to 11 PM daily, but they may vary depending on the season and weather. It's recommended to inquire in advance before visiting.
The park has Meong 1, Meong 2, and Meong 3 dog runs, as well as an indoor run!
As its name suggests, Meongsoop is a natural dog park harmoniously blending lush trees and green grass.
Rather than artificial facilities, you can enjoy the pleasure of playing in nature.
Thanks to the large, spacious grass field, dogs can run around freely without a leash, and owners can relax on benches and watch them.
A particular advantage is that the area is divided into small and large dog zones, allowing them to play safely.
Also, drinking fountains and shaded areas are located throughout the park, allowing you to use it comfortably even in summer.
Meong 3 Information
At Meongsoop Dog Park, our Shuri family used Meong 3 this time.
Meong 3 is a dog park with a grass field where dogs can run around and a rest area for owners.
Surrounded by nature, you can run around feeling the cool breeze, and it's well-equipped with various amenities.
The spacious grass field allows children to run around to their heart's content.
There is also a drinking fountain and foot washing area where you can wash your feet after exercising and a dog-only drinking water is prepared.
In addition, the rest area has benches and shaded areas where guardians can sit and rest to avoid the sun.
There is also a safety fence, so you can run around with peace of mind without worrying about escaping, and the entrance has a double fence structure for added safety.
Facility Rules
Meongsoop operates on a 100% reservation basis. Entry is prohibited for anyone other than those who have made a Naver reservation or a reservation.
You can enter on time and must leave 5 minutes before check-out.
Off-leash is allowed in the dog runs, but leashes are required in all areas outside the dog runs.

Visit Review
Our Shuri family visited Meongsoop Dog Park last Sunday morning.
We used Meong 3 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
It's great to visit with Shuri, but it's even better to play with Shuri's friends, so we visited with Shuri's friends Koseul and Lito.
We arrived about 5 minutes before 9 AM, when we could start using it, and entered at 9 AM.
As soon as I entered the entrance, I noticed the clean management of the playground.
The condition of the lawn is also good, so children with sensitive paws can walk comfortably.
Shuri was initially cautious and smelled around, but soon began sprinting across the lawn.
Not only Shuri, but also Shuri's friends Koseul and Lito ran around a lot and had fun.
Since only Shuri, Lito, and Koseul were in the large playground, we were able to relax and watch them with peace of mind.
While the children were running around, we sat in the shade and watched the children playing while drinking simple food and cool drinks that we had brought in advance.
The air conditioning was also on, so it felt like we were on a picnic.
The children would run around, rest under the air conditioner if they were hot, and then go out and play again.
I turned on the water in the foot bath and tried using it.
It's free to use, and guardians receive water directly upon visiting for hygiene.
Maybe it was hot, but the children jumped into the water and swam and played.
They were soaked, but the kids had a cool and exciting time.
I played excitedly and took pictures of the children.
The weather was nice and the kids were having fun, so I was happy to see the bright and happy expressions on their faces.
Two hours passed quickly, so before the usage time ended, I drained the water from the foot bath, cleaned the facilities I used, and came out.
Conclusion
Meongsoop Dog Park Meong 3 in Ganghwa Island was the perfect space for dogs to run around safely and happily.
Shuri ran around happily all day and fell asleep as soon as she got in the car.
It was such an exciting and fun day.
If you are planning a trip to Ganghwa Island, be sure to include Meongsoop Dog Park in your course.
It will be the best gift for the kids.
Thank you for reading today. Have a nice day.
