A Day of Fun at Anyang Waterland and Art Park

[Reporter: Yoo Hyun-seok]
Visiting an indoor water park and then enjoying some water play in a valley in the afternoon seemed like a dream, but I actually did it! While considering places to visit in Anyang, I combined Anyang Waterland and the valley at Anyang Art Park into a one-day itinerary. To sum it up, I can confidently say that spending a whole day playing in the water without worrying about the weather was an exciting combination. The two locations are just a few minutes apart by car, making planning the route quite easy. This review makes me want to save this itinerary for future reference.
✔️ Location: Anyang Waterland
✔️ Address: 153-32, Art Park Road, Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do
✔️ Operating Hours: Daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
✔️ Parking: Available on-site
Although Anyang Waterland covers about 12,000 square meters, it has all the essential features like water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, a kids' pool, and a spa zone. The layout is simple, so it’s easy to navigate. The indoor temperature is well-regulated, allowing visitors to enjoy the facilities regardless of the weather, which was my main reason for choosing this place. Since towels and toiletries are not provided, it’s advisable to bring your own. The fact that it’s indoors and unaffected by the weather is its biggest advantage. After a fun morning, I still had plenty of energy left for the valley in the afternoon.
✔️ Location: Valley at Anyang Art Park
✔️ Address: 7, Art Park Road 131-gil, Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do
✔️ Operating Hours: Open year-round
✔️ Admission Fee: Free
✔️ Parking: Public parking available
The valley is just a few minutes' drive from Anyang Waterland, making it a convenient addition to the itinerary. Since admission to Anyang Art Park is free, it’s a perfect complement to the expenses incurred at the water park. The valley offers a distinctly different water play experience compared to the waterland.
There are no designated play areas in the valley, so you can freely choose your spot to enjoy the water. The water flowing down from Samsung Mountain and Gwanak Mountain felt much cooler than at the water park. Even after a fun time indoors, stepping into the valley water instantly boosted my energy. I realized that indoor water play and outdoor valley fun offer different kinds of enjoyment.
Restaurants line the valley, so you can easily grab a hearty meal of chicken soup or tofu dishes right after splashing around. It was convenient not to have to think about where to eat while moving from the waterland to the valley.
There’s also a hidden water play spot just below the entrance of Seoul National University Arboretum. If you’re looking for a quieter place to play, I recommend this area, which is upstream and feels clearer and cooler. My older child was reluctant to leave!
Combining an indoor water park and outdoor valley in one day felt completely justifiable in terms of both cost and convenience. It’s rare to find a place that offers valleys, restaurants, walking paths, clay roads, and exercise equipment all in one location. I’m looking forward to returning on a clear day, starting the day at the valley.
Tips for Visiting Anyang Waterland and Anyang Art Park:

- If you prefer a quieter spot in the valley, aim for the upstream area below the entrance of the Seoul National University Arboretum.
- The valley parking can get crowded on weekends, so try to arrive early.
- Be sure to bring a change of clothes for both locations after water play.
