Celebrating Children's Day in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk

Hello, this is Park Joon-sik from the Gyeongbuk SNS Reporter Group.
Today, I attended a Children's Day event held in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk.
The event took place at the Uiseong Central Sports Complex.
One of the things I felt while staying in Uiseong is how the small local community comes alive on special days.
On occasions like Children's Day or Parents' Day, residents naturally gather in one place, creating a vibrant atmosphere as the entire village comes together.
This scene is quite impressive, especially since it's not easily seen in urban areas.
The Uiseong Fire Department also participated in the event, enhancing the experience.
Children had the opportunity to closely experience firefighting equipment and learn about safety measures and how to respond in emergency situations.
Rather than just simple education, it was more of a "hands-on safety experience," which garnered positive reactions from the kids.
Especially, Mr. Park In-kyu actively explained the importance of safety education to children and their guardians.
He emphasized, "It's important for children to feel familiar with safety from a young age," and added, "We prepared this program so they can naturally develop safety habits while having fun."
He also mentioned that the reason for the fire department's participation in local events is to communicate more closely with the residents, and they plan to continue various experiential safety education programs.
Throughout the venue, various experience booths were set up, keeping families engaged.
Despite the slightly warm weather reminiscent of early summer, there were many booths where visitors could receive drinks or ice cream just by installing a simple app or participating in events, creating a joyful atmosphere for the children.
What impressed me the most was that the event proceeded in an orderly manner despite the large crowd.
Thanks to the orderly lines and the considerate movement of attendees, everyone was able to enjoy the experience comfortably without chaos or accidents.
This allowed us to enjoy refreshing snacks and truly feel the delightful Children's Day atmosphere, even in the warm weather.
Various performances took place on the central stage throughout the day.
From performances by local children's choirs to individual participants, the shows prepared by the children added to the lively atmosphere.
Notably, the dance group Needles made a special appearance, elevating the energy of the event.
As exciting music and performances continued, the area in front of the stage quickly filled with cheers from children and families, and it was impressive to see the kids dancing along and having a great time.
The children on stage showcased their talents and energy, while parents in the audience clapped and cheered, creating a festive atmosphere.
This was more than just a performance; it was a celebration of Children's Day where the community came together.
This year's Children's Day in Uiseong was filled with joyful and warm memories created by families and friends gathering at the Uiseong Comprehensive Sports Complex.
Thanks to the children's laughter and the vibrant atmosphere, the entire venue felt like one big festival.
With diverse experiences, performances, and the communal spirit of the local residents, this Children's Day became even more meaningful.
Like this year's happy memories, I hope we can all meet again with smiling faces next year.
