It feels like they're already preparing for fall after last week's blue crab sale... but it's still summer!

Homeplus

Suddenly, an Italian festival! Oh~~~ I'm almost out of pasta. It's a good time to buy unique pasta shapes like lasagna sheets or fettuccine. They also have sweet wine on sale.

Italian Bluefin Tuna? I thought Japan was the one raising tuna... I see pesto in the picture. My homemade basil pesto has pine nuts from Gapyeong. Heh. That's why basil pasta sold outside doesn't taste as good. I'm a bit greedy with butter, and I'm curious about Italian butter since I haven't tried it before.

I ate the figs that were delivered today, and they were ripe and sweet. The price is also cheap, so I should buy more when I run out. The green apples are gone, and the red apples are here!

The Australian short ribs are at a good price, so I should make braised short ribs. The marinated pork shoulder looks good, even though it's not domestic.

I bought beef for soup today, and it's on sale. I bought it because it was on sale, but the discount is even bigger now. Should have waited a bit to buy it... I bought a large Spanish mackerel from Homeplus, and it was really delicious. I heard the Mont Blanc red bean bread is good.

Buy-one-get-one-free is always a good deal. I always use BOGO deals for toilet paper. Especially since toilet paper prices have gone up so much.

Homeplus seems to have the cheapest eggs. Oh! I'm getting interested in sweet potato and Margaret cookies~ Champre sliced duck is delicious wrapped in rice or in a sandwich.

They're even releasing BLDC hair dryers. Interesting. Am I the only one who didn't know?

아름다운 풍경

Lotte Mart

Lotte Mart seems to be putting everything into blue crab. But it's better not to buy crabs with sawdust. Cleaning up the sawdust is no joke. It's good to check if they're selling them in sawdust. Unless you're making marinated crab, there's no need to buy live crabs.

Why do they differentiate between online and in-store promotions? There are hardly any online shopping mall promotions after the Zetta service... I mainly order from Lotte Mart through mobile...

Like last week, they're having a sale on PB (private brand) products. The spicy pork bulgogi from the 'Yorihada' series was delicious. The toilet paper is very cheap, but I'm curious about the manufacturer.

멋진 사진

It seems Lotte Mart is having a Korean beef (Hanwoo) promotion this week. I ate all my Hanwoo for this quarter in Jeongseon, so I'll pass~ Sliced melon is great~ I bought melon from Homeplus, and it was sweet and easy to eat. I wonder if the price of squid will ever go down.

따뜻한 추억

When buying snacks these days, you need to check if they're made in China. I bought scallion crackers, and they were from China. The taste was okay, but I feel a bit bloated.

Not much change in essential items.

There are many products for people going on late vacations, such as camping gear. It seems like Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) products will be coming out soon.

행복한 시간

Emart

I wondered what Darling Downs was, and it's a place in Queensland where they feed grain to cattle. It's a name attached to Japanese cattle, and this Wagyu has spread to the US and Australia. In short, it's tender beef.

소중한 기억

Uniquely, the discount varies by date, so be sure to check the date.

This... doesn't feel particularly cheap. Why?

Honestly, home appliances aren't very appealing at the supermarket, but the mother-of-pearl inlaid table catches my eye. The square one looks pretty... the pattern in the center is beautiful.

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
