A Month of Bliss: Babymoon, Anniversary, and Preparing for Our Little One

After 13 years of non-stop working life...
I wanted to take a month off before giving birth to prepare my body and mind to welcome our baby.
While most people work until right before delivery,
I wanted to gift myself the entire month of September!
A 'Momcation' at My Parents' House
3 Nights, 4 Days: From Office Worker to Baby Piglet
My first dinner at my parents' house was rotisserie duck, something I had been craving during pregnancy!
In Seoul, they mainly serve roasted duck slices, but the crispy and savory rotisserie duck in Uijeongbu is something I need to replenish regularly.
It tasted even better after not having it for about two years. The duck soup with perilla seeds and sesame leaves is my soul food.

I went shopping at Shinbaek in Uijeongbu and bought financiers and scones from Eunbis next door.
(That macadamia financier is seriously insane.)
I felt so strange and happy that I was spending a weekday like this with my mom. :3
In the mornings, I would wake up late and eat a makeshift brunch made by my mom. LOL
A perk of my parents' house: All the food is served on Portmeirion dishes. It feels more comforting and seems to aid digestion. Anyway, it's great! ^^

It's also fun to reminisce by looking through baby albums with my mom.
Can you believe the amount of hair I had in the photo on the left?
I'm so curious about how much hair our little one will have. LOL. Combining Mom and Dad's hair volume, I'm guessing a baby lion will be born.

Spending a few days at my parents' house completely detoxed me from my corporate self.

Anniversary
It's already been three years since we got married!
We got married at the Lotte Hotel in September 2022,
So every September, we can get a discount at La Seine at the Lotte Hotel, but
This year, we celebrated at Aria, which I like better. :)
My husband gifted me a flower basket with a lovely fragrance again this year! Even though it's not an Instagram-worthy flower basket, I loved that it was full of flowers. LOL
I insisted on taking the flowers to Aria to take pictures with them!
Aria is great at crab and lamb, and the sweet corn bingsu we ordered for dessert was also very good this time.

Even though my body is heavy, I can't skip a walk around Hwangu-dan and Deoksugung Palace when I come to the Chosun Hotel.
And a quick photo booth session!
It was such a great anniversary because the weather was nice.
I'm so glad I met my husband. :) Let's be together until we're old and gray!

Days of Sleeping In and Reading Books
A Luxurious Daily Routine
Waking up leisurely around 9-10 AM,
Making a simple breakfast of cherry tomatoes, apples, and a fried egg,
Spending my days daydreaming, planning, and reading books at the neighborhood library, bookstore, cafe, or in my room.
My idea of the most luxurious daily routine!
"Be a Smart Mom" is an essential book for sleep training and also helps me sleep better when I have trouble falling asleep. :-P

Preparing Baby Supplies
Cute expenses that make my wallet open wide <3
Bokdengi's mom, a spending fairy who usually loves buying clothes,
Is very serious about preparing baby supplies.
(I'll be posting a separate checklist for childbirth/childcare supplies!)
However, selling used items is really not my thing, so I couldn't get a single item from there. ㅠ_-
I can't know the detailed condition of the products, and I'm not confident in washing and cleaning them to use them coolly.
I can't look at it all day, so even if I set up notifications, I often miss them.
While respecting those who are quick to snatch up items in good condition,
I just prepared by finding hot deals or receiving gifts. :)

For appliances, I quickly prepared the Tripp Trapp and U-Pang before my leave,
And I received a baby washing machine and a Relieve formula pot as gifts.
There were more small things to choose than appliances. I never get tired of choosing cute baby items :3

Days of washing and drying laundry little by little for almost a week
The utility room in the master bedroom has become a space dedicated to baby laundry!
Is washing three times the standard? I compromised with myself by doing one wash with three rinses...

As the clothes I received as gifts + bought myself and the items I inherited piled up, my existing storage was insufficient,
So I bought a Hanssem Bona baby wardrobe set!
I wiped and dried it with disinfectant wipes, stitch by stitch.

I organized it by putting it in storage boxes that fit perfectly in the Bona baby wardrobe (actually, I'm still organizing)
It feels great to organize everything in perfect order.
It will be difficult to maintain while using it, though. LOL

A sweet month of maternity leave!
I'm waiting for childbirth and childcare, which I'm experiencing for the first time-
I'm scared and worried about whether I can do well, but
A month of resting and getting to know myself will be a great strength in my life as a mother. ♥

It took quite a while to catch up on my blog records after a long time,
I promise myself to leave records more often in the future,
That's it for today's post!
