I started this blog thinking I'd write a monthly update because I'm too lazy to keep a daily diary.

But turns out, even writing once a month is hard! Here I am in August, finally writing about May…

Shame on me, blogger!

Anyway, I've belatedly decided to write regularly from now on, so here's May!

May, the month of family!!

And here I am, still stuck in the hospital…

My friend, Tae-gyun, visited me for lunch and we had sushi at a place near the hospital!

The taste was just so-so.

Since I was admitted to a Korean traditional medicine hospital, I was getting acupuncture twice a day.

Honestly, getting acupuncture twice a day was harder than the car accident impact itself!

Some people say Korean traditional medicine hospitals suit them well, but I just couldn't adapt. It was too tough.

As soon as I get discharged, I'm ditching the Korean medicine hospital and going to an orthopedic clinic.

Western medicine is the best!

Even though I wasn't moving around at all, I was eating like crazy.

Dong-jun from Yeosu visited me, and so did Hye-young and Jung-yeon.

I was less bored in the hospital thanks to all the visitors!!

Thank you to everyone who came to visit me!!!!!!

Is being a real adult buying Pororo juice at 25 without worrying about your mom's reaction,

and chugging four bottles of 'En-yo' (a Korean yogurt drink) at once?

Stop eating so much, Park Jong-eun;;;;

It was noisy from early in the morning, and when I checked what was going on

people I didn't know were protesting with loudspeakers at full volume…

The guy in the bed next to me initially just shut the window, saying, "Ugh, so noisy!"

But when they kept making noise, he started cursing them out.

That guy's feelings = my feelings

I aced the fire safety quiz at the hospital and won a prize!!

What I learned while working at Hyundai Premium Outlet was really helpful!

People say the food at Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital is good, but hospital food is still hospital food.

It's hard to beat the taste of MSG from the outside world.

I love you, Tonkotsu Ramen.

My two-week hospitalization, which felt both long and short, is over!!

Actually, I was supposed to stay longer, but they said I could only stay for two weeks because I didn't have any visible injuries...

I'm so frustrated. It's August now and I'm writing about May, and my back still hurts…

From now on, I have to go to outpatient treatment, but I don't know how long I'll have to keep going~~

My mom and I went to the hospital together, and then we went to a shabu-shabu restaurant because it was raining, and it was really delicious.

Maybe it was because of the rain, but we also added tendon and made porridge and ate very well.

It's my favorite shabu-shabu restaurant.

This day was a late-night executive meeting!!

We had the meeting while eating meat, and then we had another meeting at a cafe.

Tae-gyun visited me at the hospital for lunch, so we had lunch together.

The Jjampong (spicy Korean noodle soup) was just okay.

Somehow, I found where my car was stored and went to see my Whitey, and wow..

Devastating..

After the accident, I was so out of it and immediately went to the emergency room in an ambulance, so I didn't know how badly it was damaged, but seeing it like this, I'm grateful to be alive.

Jung-yeon and Seung-min invited me to their place and made me delicious food!!

We ate boiled pork, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, and arrabiata spaghetti really well

and even had pizza, it was a pig party.

Seung-min is a chef at a restaurant, so the pork and pasta had a different taste from mine.

It was so delicious.

Jung-yeon told Seung-min in advance that I eat a lot, so he had to prepare a lot of food, but he was still surprised at how much I ate.

Thank you for the delicious food~~!!

After the late-night meeting, Si-wook, Doo-san, and I had chicken and beer!!

This is why I exercise~0~

Tae-gyun and I also reviewed my insurance!!

I was shopping with my mom at the market, and the green onions were the perfect size for making kimchi, so I impulse bought them!

The green onion kimchi I made this time wasn't as good as the last time.

I think I put in too much salt;;;

I only took pictures of the process and didn't take pictures after it was finished.

My AirPods broke in the car accident, so I bought a new one and a Cinnamoroll case from AliExpress!!

Finishing up May with a voting 인증!! (proof shot)

What fun things will happen in June!!

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
