I knew it. I had a feeling I'd end up writing something in August...

Hello everyone!

Classes start in just 3 days!

(Where did the vacation go?!)

President! Please extend the break...

But since that won't happen, let's dive into my August.

Basically, every day from Tuesday to Sunday was spent working part-time, except for Mondays. So, depending on the situation, I sometimes went in late. But aside from Mondays, I almost never went out...

First up, some pictures of my dog that I snapped whenever I had a chance. I'm sharing them because they're adorable. I was the one who gave him the lion plushie.

Someone commented: "Your puppy is so well-behaved and doesn't even cry!"

One day, after work, I went to a cafe and brought home a Hello Kitty in a school uniform & a tanned Hello Kitty. The cream latte was delicious too!

Warm Memories

I took pictures while walking, then of my bag, then of the scenery again... so I just uploaded them in that order.

Happy Times

I took a bus to see a friend from my department on Monday. It was this past Monday, actually. Probably the busiest day of August.

Special Moment

I heard there's a MyEn prop shop in Suwan district, so I went there. I heard the main shop is closed on Mondays, so I went to the unmanned one. But they're both within walking distance anyway.

Maybe I'll go again sometime...? And So Coop, near MyEn...

Fun Moment

I heard the desserts are good, but I had to leave quickly, so I only ordered an iced Americano... There's a Dongmyeong branch that's even closer, so I should go there next time. (I didn't know the location, but apparently it's somewhere I pass by often...!

That's how I spent my morning.

Late in the evening, I met up with friends I've known since elementary school and we had dinner. We had potato pasta, tomato pasta, and a pilaf. I can't remember the name of the pilaf...

((But it was really delicious, so if anyone sees this post and goes, I hope you try it))

Beautiful Scenery

They give you ice cream for dessert here, and it was really sweet and had a strong vanilla flavor, which made me happy. Hehe

We went in around 7 PM and got a table right away without a reservation. There weren't many people, which was nice for us. After that, we went to Bulk, which is right next door.

Beautiful Scenery

I took a picture of a cat near the bus stop on the way home. It got really wary even if I made the slightest noise. I guess that's understandable...

<A collection of food photos from I don't know when>

Interesting Image

The day I went to a Chinese restaurant with my dad and brother after exchanging coins, then picked up my mom from work and went home. Of course, I was wearing a white shirt and ended up splashing a bunch of jjampong soup on it after debating between jjajangmyeon and jjampong... lol

Gorgeous Scene

I felt like I hadn't bought my dad anything lately, so I paid for the meal that day (voluntarily).

This time it was Japanese. I saw takoyaki on Baemin (delivery app) and ordered some to eat together. Japanese again. This time I ate with my cousins. I had maze soba.

A souffle pancake that was a bit of a disaster.

When I went to Chungjang-ro in the evening, they were doing "Christmas in August," spraying fake snow, playing Christmas carols, and had Christmas-themed balloons... lol

I spent a lot of money at Olive Young.

Here are two pretty shots.

Bright Future

I was worried it wouldn't arrive before classes started, so I bought it before the sale ended.

And...

There's a Clio X National Heritage Administration collaboration product.

I went to order it as soon as it hit midnight today!

When I finished work in the afternoon, shade 20 was already sold out.

Conclusion: I'm glad I bought it early...?

Dreamlike Moment

Since I ordered it online and don't have it yet, here's an image from their official site.

It's so pretty, hehe.

I got my personal color analysis and my top result was Summer Cool Mute, followed by Autumn Warm Mute, so it's interesting that this is happening.

Anyway, it seems like I can use both.

I decided to get both.

Hopeful Tomorrow

Actually, there's a story behind it...

I'll share it if I ever review the product.

So that was my August, which seems like it was filled with a lot of things. I have work for two more days, and then I go back to school.

Valuable Experience

But since I have a free day on Fridays, I have to keep working part-time on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for the time being...

I did a little bit of exercise and studying during that time, and there were several other stories, but I'll end it here.

I'm excited to see what will happen in September after classes start... hehe (Inner thoughts: Classes... Homework... Group projects... TTTT)

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
